I am returning to my Amarr roots and really want to go back to laser ships but I am not super familiar with running level 4's.
I am looking for a good system for and a Laser Battle Ship to run missions in... couple days out from lvl 2 med beams/pulses so I could also fly a legion if need be. Once I have more cash built up I can also fly a Nightmare.

And use that while I lvl large beams too lvl 2 which is like 30 days ish.

Systems don't matter. Just find yourself an agent from Amarr Navy, Ministry of War or w/e somewhere in amarr space. That'll make sure you are fighting sanshas or blood raiders.

When it comes to choice of ships and weapons:
Armageddon uses drones, so guns only matter if you want to pick off destroyers at 50km or so.

Abaddon has a good tank, but the weapons only have a 5% damage bonus per BS skill level, so take a rack of beams.

Apocalypse has slightly weaker tank, but can actually use pulses instead of beams with it's 7.5% to optimal/BS level. Take a rack of t2 pulses with Scorch. If you can't, doesn't really matter if pulse or beam. I'd go with pulses.

Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to pop them in a gate camp.

I tried running some lvl 4's with my Amarr toon over the years. Never really could get him to be in the same league as me until he got into a Nightmare, The Nightmare is a sweet ship...almost as good as Caldari at running lvl 4's :P
