Effective Ways to Raise Faction Standing?

Hello everyone,

Recently I've become quite interested in joining Faction Warfare, but I was unaware that you needed at least 0.0 standing with the faction you intend to join. So now I find myself unable to join Amarr militia (or any for that matter) as my standings are in the negatives. I know storyline missions raise faction standing, but that seems like an incredibly long and tedious solution.

Are there any other ways to grind Faction standing quickly and (preferably) without spending tons of isk?

You can do the SoE Epic Arc every three months for about 8,5% standings raise with the faction of your choice. If you are skilled enough, this can be blitzed in an Assault Frigate (for fast aligning and warping) in an afternoon.

Same goes for the L4 Epic Arcs though they are supposed to be a bit more difficult and tedious.
Some COSMOS missions? (no experience here, though)

Grinding distribution missions can be done mostly AFK. L3 distribution missions can be comfortably accomplished in a blockade runner, though whether you want to AFK AP one of those back and forth during work hours and reruns of Neighbours is your decision to make.

Grinding L3 security missions is the fastest for standings per hour.

For the finer details and certain shortcuts, the Faction Standing Repair Plan linked in the previous post is your best reference.
