what ship to train for level 4 missins

So I am looking forward to getting my training queue up and running for level 4 missions. The question is; what ship to aim at.

I have been told Macarel (sp?), but at a billion risk and 60 days for projectiles it's a bit steep. I am flying a Myrm at the .o and just got sentry drones at tech UK and use T2 rails so that's where my training went so far.

Any advice out there from those more experienced than I?

The Machariel's like the Lamborghini of mission-running battleships: extremely fast, extremely powerful, and stupidly expensive.

The natural progression from the Myrmidon is the Dominix drone-carried battleship, which will leverage the same skill set used on the Myrmidon - except that the Dominix doesn't have the Myrm's natural active-armor tanking bonuses. If you take the time to train up the battleship skill to level 3 or 4, and have solid defensive skills (opinions are split on whether the Domi's better off as a shield-tanker or armor-tanker), enough that you can use Tech-II modules for all your defensive needs, then you should be OK. Bear in mind, though, that Level 4 missions are a higher order of challenge than lower-level missions.

The easiest are probably Raven with cruise missiles and Domi with sentry drones and MJD.

So a Domi is probably the way to go in your case.

Really depends on your skills but the "best" L4 mission runners are as follows:

Minmatar: Mach, Vargur,

Gallente: Navy Dominix, Kronos, Vindicator

Amarr: Nightmare, Paladin, Apoc Navy Issue

Caldari: Raven Navy Issue, Golem

Where you mission plays a huge part in figuring out the "best"; as well as time to train, investment, and ease of use.

It sounds like you have main investment in galente skills and ships, so domi and navy domi. Afterward you can train something else.

I'd actually say the CNR has overtaken the match due to the changes, it was always close because CNR does maximum damage out to lock range and has pure selectable damage type and the machs main strength over the CNR being mobility being an almost useless trait in 90% of level 4s.

Properly fitted CNR 1 shots everything sub BS, BS die in 3-4 volleys assisted by sentries.

I came back to eve recently and I'm honestly shocked how effective the CNR with 2 T2 rigor, 1 T2 flare, 4 faction BCS, T2 launchers and a TP is, it's possible to consistently equal the 18-22 mil bounty ticks I managed running forsaken hubs in a HAM tengu if you're willing to reject certain missions.
