The second 1v1 StarJeweled tournament is just around the corner. This will consist of a regular season followed by a post-season championship bracket. Prizes for the championship will total over $100 US. This will be hosted on the NA server and is an open season which simply means anyone is allowed to sign up, regardless of skill. There is no sign up fee.

The regular season will run from September 1st through September 22nd. I will post the schedule after the final sign up date (August 30th) and the players will then be responsible for scheduling their own matches with their opponent. Everyone will play a single 1v1 game against each of their opponents and then either player from each match will send the replay to Seros Kal / Ragnarok – e-mail address will be posted when appropriate.

The players who get to the championship bracket (the top eight spots) will be guaranteed at least $10 in winnings with the potential for a maximum of $75 for winning the championship. I will be joining each game and broadcasting live to twitch. Each series will be best of 3 unless both parties involved request single elimination or best of 5. This will happen specifically on September 28th and 29th. The times that competitors will need to be online and ready for their matches both days will be from about 2:00 PM Eastern (11:00 AM Pacific) until 6:00 PM Eastern (3:00 PM Pacific) about each day, unless they have been eliminated.

E-mails or phone numbers to your PayPal accounts will be needed so the money can be sent to the correct players.

During the 1v1s, all units will be allowed. All spells will be allowed. Game-throwing will be allowed. Bots, hacks, or cheats of any other nature will NOT be allowed.

In the event of a player disconnecting during the first 30 seconds of a match, the game will be replayed immediately.

Individuals will be able to sign up at any point from the time of this post until Friday the 30th.

During the regular season,

a) a 1v1 win will earn you one point

b) a 1v1 loss will not deduct any points

c) The top eight in points will move on to the postseason

d) In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the Median-Buchholz system will be used. The "tie-break score" will determine the results. Should they be tied, they will be sorted based on their records relative to one another. The order of sign ups (original seed) will break up any remaining ties.

e) The first round will be completed by the 5th, the second round will be completed by the 9th, the third round will be completed by the 13th, the fourth round will be completed by the 17th, and the fifth round will be completed by the 22nd - all matches not finished by these dates will result in a "tie"
