Buddy invite plex question.

So I want to get my buddy into the game with a buddy invite, I know that if he pays for his first plex, I'll get one as a reward as well. However he's dead set on being able to buy his first plex with isk after I told him how I play the game for free and it's technically possible to do so off a trial account, (albeit rather difficult and time consuming).

Should he some how aquire enough isk in his first 21 days to get a plex, would I still get a plex reward of my own, or does he actually have to pay for one.

You'd still get the PLEX, don't worry.
