Wormholes

Following on from my previous post asking for advise on a deeper wormhole to upgrade to - this is the tale of my quest to obtain 1 particular wormhole.

So you kind fellows alluded to the fact maybe a C5 C4 would be my best bet, and since I was intending use RR a lot, I found a delightful hole with a Cataclysmic bonus for sale for the princely sum of 1.5b, to include a tower and some other bits.

I had the day off work on thursday, the missus was out, the kids were out. it was eve oclock. unfortunately, the chap selling this wormhole (which to be honest I was now getting a little obsessed by) wasn't online.

Undeterred I began emptying my current C3 LS. Unfortunately for me the LS was in Hasama, which had Mara / Nikkashina neighbouring it. Pirates everywhere. I managed to sneak my my Orca in and out using a blackbird (lol) as a scout / webber / emergency jamming ship. Took about 2 hours to get the POS empty. The toon selling the new WH still wasn't online. Where was he?! Selfish man.

So I set my two chars out to wonder the stars hoping to find a new home. On a few occasions I'd end up 6 or 7 WHs deep to no avail. A few hours past. Bleary eyed by now I was about to call off the search. Then to my utter disbelief I jump into a C5 C4 with a Cataclysmic bonus! Quickly adjust my semi. Check the scanner.

NOTHING ON SCAN. Check static mapper. NO JUMPS OR KILLS! Lawdy lawd.

Have a quick warp around and devastation hits. A f@cking POS. I lose my semi.

I warp to it anyway, see which selfish **** is in my new home. Check the corp. Hmm seen that name before.

Wait what. It dawns on me im in the wormhole that's for sale. Unbelievable. Still no-one from the corp is online. Quickly do the 4 WH

jumps back to empire, **** all the WHs are now End of Natural life. FFS! Scan out the last C2 connection before empire - a new WH has just opened - 2 jumps from Jita. Where my Orca is. My Orca with a POS in it.

Should I do it? It's technically an invasion isn't it?! I don't even have an army. F@ck it, I'm moving in, I'll just have to explain myself later (and hope they don't annihilate me in the process).

Jump in my trusty blackbird to guide the Orca to our new home. First WH - nothing. Second - nothing. 3rd - some sh!t on scan that wasn't there before. F@ck it, there isn't time, the link back to K Space could die at any minute. Get to the new WH. Pick a moon, anchor the POS. Oh yeh 30 f@cking minutes. Delightful. Well what the worst that can happen, back to Jita for some POS fuel!

All I've got at this stage is an Orca and a blackbird. I need to empty the Orca. I can't really defend what it is that I jettison. So out pops a Devoter, various POS mods and some fuel. Just left it at the POS with a little sticky note asking any one that comes across the stash, politely leave it alone, or I'll erm, jam you or something.

Guide the Orca back to high sec. See some new ships on scan in one of the wormholes on the way back. Just ignore it, LA LA LA. The missus texts me. "We'll be back soon" SH!T. They'll want attention and stuff. ORCA HURRY THE F@CK UP YOU SLOW ALIGNING TW@T.

Get the final supplies and head back down the pipe for the last time. Palms are sweaty. Nothing on scan. Yeh that's right, paranoid WH dwellers have logged off, can't take the heat my blackbirds giving off.

Arrive at the final WH entrance to my new home. That's weird. My ORCA pilot's got a mail from "Pend Insurance". Whatever, I'm busy. Wait another one? And another? Oh ****! Dawns on me the paranoid wormhole dwellers have found my stash and are currently pillaging!

Right, THINK MAN. Right. Right. Well I'm not going back. Jump in. Warp the Orca to a planet, making a SS on the way to cloak up in. Right, who's this shooting my stuff? Only a Domi on scan. Warp straight in. Land on grid and a falcon uncloaks.

Manage to Jam him and manage to jam the domi. For one cycle. Then I'm jammed then I die. Good. Warp the pod out. The tower was anchored though. Just need to online it then my stake is in the ground. Warp back in the pod to have see if any of the wrecks or cans have pos fuel in them. Get in theres 4000 fuel in one of the cans. I'll just warp in, and quick as a flash drop some fuel into the POS.

Dry my sweaty palms and hit warp. Land on grid, Domi starts to target. This is my last chance. If I f@ck this up and get podded, I'll be down all that stuff plus I'll have an Orca (with no probe launcher) stranded in a C5 with a C4 static.

"YOU CAN NOT MOVE **** IF YOU ARE JUST A POD BLAH BLAH BLAH". F@cking great, cheers.

Warp off. Check to see if the Orca has any ships hidden in it's belly. No, remember you left them all at the POS and now theyre dead.

Get a text from the missus. "Back in 5". AHHJK|EHF JKGGEDHJGFHJHJFHEJ.

RIGHT BACK TO HIGH SEC FOR ANOTHER SHIP.

Get back to the final WH before High Sec. Remember I'm a -6 criminal. This should be interesting. Manage to allude capture and precure the first pile of sh!t I see available in the system. A Dragoon. Whatever back to the C5!!

Get to system, there's a Sacrileige there too now. B@stards, just leave me alone. I wouldn't do this kind of thing to you. Probably.

Anyway I warp to the Orca. Get the Orca to drop a bit of fuel. 60 units is all I can fit in. Is that enough to jump start the tower? Dunno lets find out. Warp in, oh yeh I can try and transfer that 4000 fuel blocks if I'm quick. I was quick! Got it in, set the tower to Online and I was OUT OF THERE....

Funny story. But, bringing a POS but not a single fuel block, that was a major derp. And even in an Orca, oh dear. Leaving ships floating in space, oh my. Actually quite a fail cascade. I wish more people would do their moving this way :)

Right way: Bring POS and fuel in with a cloaky transport, rest also with transport or wait for a direct hisec. An Orca should never move through the chain unless you have enough people to back it up. Of course, that's the safe way. Admittedly, your way generates more content ^^

Please move into my wormhole while we are online using these tactics:P...
