Ukash Payment

So I bought a Ukash code worth £15.00, tried to use the code to buy a months game time and activate my account.

Tried once got an error message, rang up Ukash who told me that CCP had authorised the payment of £12.99 and Ukash then gave me a change code for £2.01, the amount of change I should have gotten if the payment had gone through...

So over 36 hours later I am still without my activated account and my game time and am still waiting for a response from customer support.

Will I ever get my activated account and game time? Or am I being lied to by one side or the other?

All I know is that I spent £15 on something thats a legit method of payment for EVE and am now £12.99 down.

Not impressed in the slightest. Especially the fact that customer support still hasnt got back to me after 36 bloody hours!

Also sorry if this is in the wrong place but seeing as I've been ripped off I don't generally give a crap where I'm supposed to post this. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hate to say it, but it sounds like it was Ukash; now it's Theykash.

Yeah, its starting to look that way. But what I don't get is the fact that their meant to be a legit company, otherwise why would there be the option to pay using their service.

Also one thing that made me skeptical when I rang them was the fact that despite being an English company they had NO English speaking staff. They where either Indian, African or Asian, don't get me wrong I have nothing against them but when I asked to speak to their English speaking manager they put yet another Indian person on the phone who was harder to understand than the first person I spoke to.

Makes me think that when the woman in the corner shop I bought the code from was talking about there being alot of Ukash scams, I didn't realize she meant the actual company is scamming people.


Also just out of curiosity, Is EVE's Customer Support usually as slow as what I am experiencing? No reply from them after 36 hours, well more like 48 hours now actually.

If you hear back in under 3 days I'd be surprised, Eve's support is rather slow by industry standards I'm afraid. Just be glad it's an account/money based issue, if it was game-related you could wait weeks. (Some people even report waiting months.)

I've been using Ukash to make payments since the start of the year and never had a problem with them.

EDIT: Also i'm pretty sure they don't do them in £15 i believe it's £10, £25 and £50 i could be wrong though.

The woman in the shop I bought the code from said she wasnt sure if they did £15 codes but she said she'd run it through the machine to check.

Turns out they do. But she also said that my codes the first one thats come up as being a dodgy code.

As for the waiting time for a reply from customer support. Seriously? What the hell. I would of thought for a game as highly reviewed as this their customer service would of been above average not below it.

Well I just rang Ukash up and the guy, took down my email etc. and said hes going to flag my payment up on their system or some garbled crap I could only understand the basic gist of it due to him having a heavy french accent and using what seemed to be a satellite phone from a desert island.

Either way he said that I should receive some response from either Ukash themselves or CCP sometime soon. Lets hope so.

billing supports mostly get done in a couple of hours

make sure you have petitioned in the correct place

Why not just use a Credit Card?

Probably don't help you with your current problem, but in the future i can recommend you use SOMER Blink when you buy GTC. I have used them myself, and most of my friends use them, and there is never any problems, you get the code 10-15 min after ordering.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Right, I didn't use a credit card because I was in debt and had my account closed, that's why I haven't just used a card.

Secondly, I filed a support ticket under payment issues. I would safely say that this comes under a payment issue.

Thirdly, within a few hours? It's been damn near 48hrs now....

OP: your best bet is to file a petition and send CCP the proof you have. Posting here will not be very helpful.
