Hello: I have been playing only a matter of hours, and tried to find answers by searching forums, but no luck -- my question/problem: I have a hard time seeing the small containers that are jettisoned after I hack a data container (I'm currently doing the Career Agent Tutorials, and working on "Exploration")...any advice on which settings to adjust that will make them easier to see against the backdrop of stars, light/dark areas? Or is it just an acquired skill that will come with time (I've played only 6 - 7 hours so far)?

Thank you in advance for any useful advice/suggestions.

Not graphics settings but if you click the lines at the top of your overview you can adjust what is displayed in the list on the right.

Can't remember exactly but it might be under celestial objects, have a look and try a couple and it will show up there.

Tried glasses?

Don't know the make and model of your rig and screen so can't help you there.

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

You may want to adjust your overview settings.

Open your overview settings and go into tabs, then set the bracket profile to "show all brackets". This setting determines which items in space have brackets around them, and may have been turned off if you are running a custom overview.

This ^

However if they already have brackets (the square around them) and you have the issues, I would suggest playing around with the graphics in the escape menu. If you're worried about cocking it up, there is a reset button that will put all the graphics back to normal.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

I recently had my client revert to a default state after a crash. After I finished cleaning up the damage to my desk, I went looking for a better overview guide.

I'm lazy though, so I stopped here: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Overview_Guide

The more I read the forums over the years, the more I swear. To god. That the typos are intentional mistakes. Part o f the encryption.

Hate to hijack the thread, but I have a graphics question....recently replaced a dying video card but unfortunately it was a bit of a downgrade ((it was a gift -- didn't have choice) GeForce 9800GT to a GT 630)) and I can run on most previous settings I had before, with the exception of running into GAS CLOUDS inside mission areas or anomolies. My FPS drops down to 10 and is horribly choppy. I tried messing with each of the graphics settings, but they only made minor improvements of about 2-3 FPS. Anything else I can do to fix this? besides getting a better video card, that is.

Zoom out. Way out. Minimize the client works too (for alts if you are multi-boxing).

Gas clouds have always been an issue.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the advice. Good to know. I just don't recall having issues with my old video card with gas clouds but perhaps I just don't remember. What?

I feel your pain... I play on a ten year old toaster with intergrated graphics that struggles even on low settings. As someone stated above, zoom waaaaay way out and you should be good.

I'm so pleased they got rid of the dust cloud outside of the Amarr hub.

I can't wait to get my new PC built.

To OP: Did you manage to get it sorted? If not, petition it to CCP and see what they say.
