You can sell the killrights too.

Hmm.. I always had the idea of putting a web and scram on a procurer and putting drone damage mods on the lows and sit in 0.5 waiting for gankers.

As far as I understood, trying to pre-position concord to "protect" yourself is petitionable, but calling concord off isn't.

The purpose of Concord is not to protect your ship, its to take the aggressors ship. The method that you protect your ship, is to provide it with a tank, and concord is not to be used to avoid the consequence of not providing it with a tank.

LMAO how is one different from the other? I would say use it until they specifically tell you that you can’t.

Oh, and no, manipulating CONCORD — be it by pre-spawning or by moving them off-grid — is not against the rules. Both sides are allowed to use it to their hearts' content.

OMG I thought I would never be able to say this but.....no no I just cant do it. OK.... I......agreee....with.......tip..ia. UGH hard to choke out Big smile

Would just like to point out that the spawning of concord for protection has been deemed an exploit by CCP and will earn you a warning. Repeated use will result in possible bans.

I've seen suicide gankers repeatedly spawning concord to protect them against aggressive miners.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Dont have one to hand but it was established by several GM posts in miner gank threads when we were doing the interdictions.

Manipulation of already spawned concord is allowed to some degree but spawning them for protection is not as that is an abuse of the concord mechanic. We got a good few miners banned for this thing and a rage post on one of the botting forums but alas, I doubt we still have that saved anywhere.

I hope OP doesn't get into trouble for encouraging people to abuse game mechanics.

Or just buy a couple sec status tags. Or use an insta to get out of station past the pretend police and do your business, then let them pod you right back in, paying nothing because you're still low enough SP to live in a clone alpha. Reship to free noobship, and repeat as necessary.

really ? lol. hrm. altho concord isnt going to swarm for just 1 ship lol. thats distracting them. theyd send about 2-3 tops unless you really make them mad, then you run away fast

People have been spawning concord to protect them and gankers have been moving them since suicide ganking first started. To spawn concord in you belt you need 1 ship to go crim per concord spawn you want (bs,cruiser, frig) Those concord once in system will respond to another incident going crim with the number of ships required. If the miner uses 2 alts (at the same time) to go crim, the ganker will need to use 2 alts (at the same time) to move them and so on. Additionally it is the closest concord spawn that moves, i have gone into a gank not realising there was a diff concord spawn in system that had repsonded rather than the miners protection, didn't go well.

To the people saying its abusing game mechanics it isn't, both spawning concord and moving a concord spawn away are perfectly valid game play that works the way ccp means it to. Back in gankings heyday (before ridiculous barge buff) there could be 5 or 6 concord spawns being moved back and forth across a system. Genrally miners who did it right would end up being safe as it was far more straightforward to find another target than keep moving concord. The ones who thought they were safe and would smack talk on the other hand would realis ethe hard way how persistent gankers can be when provoked.

Delete the alt and cycle a new one a few times and the EULA is violated.

The idea is terrible and not helpful at all.

Maybe just don't mine AFK ?? hmmm ????

Your alt can still spwan concord for you at -10, he only needs to survive the police long enough to lock your exhumer after all. You wont be able to use i=him for other stuff ofc but hey, its a free alt slot right.

Actually, while I don't have the quote handy either, I do recall that at one time manipulating concord spawns would get you a slap by the GMs.

As with anything else, it may be up to the GM handling the question.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

What the difference between a ganker "manipulating" an already spawned concord by moving him out of grid by undocking in his Ibis from to get a better dps uptime on the next target from an alt "manipulating the already spawned condord to move it on grid in the belt?

Only the first spawn is illegal but I can move it at will as long as I don't force a new spawn?

How do you know I am not only an idiot trying to gank a miner in an Ibis? Maybe I just read some random miner ranting about how ganking is too easy and have supposedly no cost so I wrongfully understood it could be done in a free ship.

The force of EFT is strong with some, but what happens if carebears actually do bite back?

Well, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjtjKEvuedM.

No really though, there used to be a legitimate pvp video of "when carebears bite back". Y'know, back in the days when can flipping was a thing. If anyone manages to dig that up...

Prep an ibis in belt with your main by ejecting. Come with the -10 alt in a pod where Concord don't attack you. "Steal" the pilotless Ibis and shoot the barge/exhumer.

I have a perfect way to fix this obvious hole. Make concord POD people under -5. All the ganker will be happy miners can't use the gaping hole right?

It's an unsatisfactory solution. For that to work, gankers would have to be given a sec reward for podding miners in high sec.

I think this was it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndWUlntJ58U

But nevermind, it tells of times long past, when NOS wasn't nerfed, sucky warp stabs had no penalty (he should've fitted a suitcase), roids were always juicy, and noone knew how to make 720p videos.

Well, yeah, we know all that.

It's all just a lot of trouble for something that's honestly really a useless idea.

edit: If they are gonna gank you, they are gonna gank you and no stopping 'em really. That's just EVE.
