Rotting Blueprints

Do blueprints have an expiry date?

Some months ago I tried my hand at Manufacturing and had a station full of various blueprints. I decided to give it another go but I can't find any of my blueprints anywhere.

So, I need to know is that have the Tribbles been and chewed them up or were they 'improved' during a patch and turned into something like Dancing Janitors?

Nope, check your personnal assets with those filters:
- blueprint:original
- blueprint:copy

Maybe you had them in a corporation hangar and stopped paying the bill ?

Another option is using something like jeveassets (http://eve.nikr.net/jeveasset ) for an out of game view of your assets (including corporate assets if you give it an appropriate key).

No, nothing there anywhere. But thanks for the replies.

One thing I have noticed is that I have strange heaps of Mexallon which weren't there before. Have they been replaced by CCP or have I inadvertanly discovered Alchemy as a career path?

I'd start thinking someone has been playing with your account at this point Lol

Check your cargoholds. You may have 'drunk-loaded' your Orca. Big smile

Are you sure you dont have any completed jobs somewhere that need to be delivered?

Also, are you sure they weren't only blueprint copies with a limited number of runs? If your account has been tempered with, try checking your wallet journal and contract history.

I also use EVE HQ a lot to check my assets out of game using the EVE API, and for managing blueprint research levels especially. Probably similar to the jeveassets application.

Did you have a POS setup and left your BPOs there and it was destroyed while you were gone?

Thanks for the replies and now I am more confused than ever.

I know that I have never 'drunk loaded' my freighter before doing something daft with it. I have never had a POS in my life and, in fact, I have never visited a POS so I know that's not right.

I know that I had a pile of blueprints, copies and orginals, bought at various places including Dodixie and there's nothing there. I have tried looking at my assets in EveHQ (and can't get anywhere there mostly because I can't seem to get the API keys right) but the interesting thing is that I have gone through all of the Jobs in the Industry thing for all of my characters and I see that over a year ago I made four lots of Robotics.

I know for a fact that I created a lot more than four jobs and over the past year and a half because I was doing quite a trade at Dodixie and I see that all of these records are not visible.

So I can assume that something has changed and CCP has had to remove my blueprints and remove my records.

Thanks all for the assistance.

Trade and job records don't last forever. The jobs screen in-game shows me only stuff since April this year, even though I've been manufacturing stuff way longer than that (and that's with the filter set to show everything in the last 2 years). Transaction history is less than that.

It is exceedingly unlikely that CCP removed any of your assets.

If you are very sure you had your stuff before and now not any more you could make a support ticket to ask a GM for assistance. They have more powerfull touls to find out what happend.

This is where I put my signature, right?

You've said nothing about checking all and I mean ALL of your cargoholds. I've had this same happen several times in 3 years and the missing crap is ALWAYS in a cargohold.

Also. not to be harsh, but I'm kinda doubting your story as Robotics are a PI production and no BP's or jobs for it will ever show up in the science window EVER except in the PI planets tab, of course.

I have looked through all of my holds. I have done that by actually flying to each station and peeking in. To be honest, I don't have that many ships.

The Robotics may well be PI. However they are the only thing that appear in my list of finished jobs and they are dated April 2012. Just checled again and I note that I typed the wrong thing "Basic Robotics Blueprint". I wrote that down here as Robotics on my notepad. Apologies.

Anyway, the fact is that these are the only four jobs listed and I know that I have done more jobs since then

No matter. I wanted to restart Manufacturing and I was going to explore another part of New Eden and this is the opportunity to do so.

Thanks again.

Have you checked the Industry User Interface? It will show you blueprints that are in a hangar, for both you and your corporation (if you're in one, they may be with your corp assets). It will also show you ones that are in process as part of a job but not yet delivered (I've done that before). And it will show you anything that might be sitting in a POS (not that you have one, but if you did). Nothing disappears altogether. I don't think CCP just blindly got rid of any blueprints. They usually just adjust whatever they make.

As someone else mentioned, BPCs get used up. Once built, they're gone.

Is that the Science and Industry tool (the one where there's two white coated chaps looking at a massive blue board)?

If so, then I have.

There is talk of a massive Universe-wide Inventory thing but that's still work in progress I understand. What I am going to do is to buy myself some blueprints and then search for them and see how they appear and then start a job and then search again.

They have to be somewhere. And the best thing that I can come up with is, as someone has mentioned before, that my account was hacked. Oh well, that will teach me -- though what I am not too sure.

No, it's a 3rd party tool (well, there's a few of them). Personally I use jEveAssets.

That's be my thought as well. Half a year ago, I found a BPO research job that I had started in 2009 or so, but never gotten around to deliver. It delivered just fine after I travelled to the system the BPO was in, though.
