"Your friend upgraded their trial with an ineligible payment method"

Hello. Yesterday I upgraded my account using an ETC from an ETC reseller. It said that if I used the ETC to upgrade, my friend would be eligible for his reward. "To be eligible for rewards, the new Buddy account needs to be activated and the subscription fee paid by using Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, WebMoney Transfer, paysafecard, ETC, PLEX, Nexon, Ukash, iDeal, Yandex, Amazon Game Connect and any additional payment methods accepted by CCP from time to time". But he got that message when I did. I submitted a ticket in-game, but a GM simply said that I "upgraded with a CD-key", and then instantly closed the ticket.

I paid for an ETC, and upgraded using ETC, so my friend should of gotten his reward for it.

Can you help me with this issue?

ya GM's have been immediately closing tickets lately and not bothering to actually answer the entire petition. I recommend opening a new petition and stating in it for them not to auto close the petition when they answer it.

also give that GM a 0 for his ratings cause he sucks.

I'm afraid no amount of information will change this code from being a CD-key to an ETC code. They are very distinct, and there is no way for us to mistake one for the other.

are you sure it was an etc? where did you buy it from?
