Shouldn't blasters be for shield-tanking ships?

Even when armor buffered and slow do blaster boats still work, because some players just do not care and run into them often enough and then die to them. In gangs is the speed problem left to tacklers and blaster boats even when slow then bring in a lot of DPS.

Active armour tanking still has the rig issues. So can be slowed depending on the rig fittings, as sometimes you want to close a resist hole with a rig.


No, you want to increase armor rep amount. Those rigs affect Repper PG reqs, not speed thank goodness.

It's true. The only weapon platforms that make sense at the moment are shield/projectile (e.g. sleipnir) or laser/armor (e.g. most amarr), owing to the way that cap usage in weapon and tank compliment each other.

This obviously doesn't mean they're good, just complementary. The best actual weapon/tank systems for capacitor are armor/projectile and armor/missile due to not using capacitor for bloody anything.

But yes, it would make more sense if blasters belonged to a shield race for the speed. However, they don't, so YAR HAR HAR CALDARI YOU CAN'T HAVE 'EM BACKPirate
