So not only are you ignorant, misguided, stupid, and a sheep, but you also have every right to say / type-on-a-forum your ignorant, misguided, stupid, and sheep-like comments without fear of censorship because we (supposedly) live in a society of Free Speech. cool huh?

ah, kinda reminds me on my philo 101 course. Who was it again that said: your opinion might be bullshit, but I will fight for your right to say it?

However, next came the argument (developed a few decades later, after WWII) that Free Speech is potentially limiting freedom rights of others.

Should the german one have been allowed to distribute his hate by using free speech thus enabling speech to become deeds?

I remained unconvinced, but think that who needs to propagate racist views is performing personal attacks which I'd assume to be against EULA.

In private places you can get kicked if you say something that the owner doesn't like. That's the case in Eve as it is in most societies that claim to have Free Speech (and that are less than you might think if you want to have the freedom to propagate racism).

so, your personal attacks (stupid sheep) are surely covered by the laws of the country you live in (hard to guess which that is), but can be censored by the owners of these forums.

Freedom of speech doesn't exist anywhere, neither does a "Free Country" (unless of course you own your own country and make the rules that is)

18th century French philosopher François-Marie Arouet, better known as Voltaire, and it's a misquote of a misquote. What he actually said was "Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so too" in his Essay on Tolerance.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I honestly can't tell what the heck the OP is actually talking about, to the extent that if he actually had a point, I don't know what it might be. I've heard more conherent ramblings on a street corner from a guy holding a cardboard sign that says the Canadian government is coming to steal our teeth.

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Your right to speak freely does not mean you have the right to be provided a soapbox by a private entity. Nor does it mean that private entities cannot decide they prefer not to do business with you due to the content of your speech.

The right means that the government cannot force you not to speak (or to speak in a certain way) or punish you for speaking, and must not allow others to force you not to speak.

In other words, on a privately owned forum (Hi CCP), your speech can be limited by the owner of the forum without infringing your rights.

C'mon. What district keeps electing Rep. Peter King?

I lived a little west of Hicksville. And I have been in enough private conversations with Long Islanders who all would say, when asked about the super-high property taxes "yeah it's expensive but the n**gers and s**cs can't get out this far". So you got this big "whitelandia" where the "George Zimmermans" come with badges and don't get put on trial when they kill.

After living in that hell, I moved to the South, where everybody in NY says everybody is a big fat racist redneck and lo and behold, there are neighborhoods where you got people of all types living side by side. And those "rednecks"? They were nicer to me than anybody from the Northeast.

So I don't want to hear it from anybody from Strunggiland about anybody else being racists. The island is the biggest collection of racists you can ever find. They'll pay 10 grand a year in property taxes and at least a two hour commute ONE WAY to the city just to "get away from... THEM ",

A redneck is not a race but a choice of lifestyle.

So calling someone a redneck is not racism, but it could be taken as a insult or a compliment.

So calling a guy a redneck as a "lifestyle choice" in a negative manner (as the term sprung up due to race in the first place) = the same as calling a gay dude a queer in a negative manner (which never sprung up over race but sexual choice)?

Ah, even CCP's language filters censors the word out. Double standards, indeed.
