T2 Invention Question

Hello!

I'm just beginning to explore the exciting world of T2 invention, did some research on items, got some skills trained etc.

What I guess I'm really stuck on is if it's necessary to research ME/PE on a BPO if it's going to be used strictly for copies for invention, and whether any of the research effects the invented blueprint.

In short, if I'm not manufacturing from the BPO is it worth it even to research it if I'm just making copies of it for invention purposes?

Nope. The only way to change the results of invention are: different numbers of input runs (for modules/drones/ammo) and the use of decryptors.

Bear in mind that to make up the T2 items (mods, drones, ships), you need the T1 item. So you will either be buying them or manufacturing them, if the latter than researching the BPO for that purpose is a good idea.

Thanks for the answers and suggestions guys. Nailed it right on the head.

I hate to say it Steve, as I feel like a dopey twit now, but I've been using your blog and becoming acquainted with the your guides while building up to doing invention...and somehow I completely missed that the answer was right in that one you linked. Thanks for pointing it out.
