Mad Ani is live streaming the Goon's attack on 6VDT-H.

There are already eight thousand people watching, and the system has four thousand people battling it out. Apparently there are more people inbound. Does anyone know what the local number to beat is?

Update: So far on the stream Goons and co have had a hell camp set up, and Test and friends started slowly trickling in, and shortly afterwards started to land in some larger blobs warping together in rather than isolated groups. After an hour or so battling someone has spotted caps on DScan in system. Some (probably quite unreliable) battle reports have been surfacing and CFC appear to be winning but only by 100 or so kills, so it's been pretty close. The capital ships then landed on grid, mostly CFC dreads by the looks of things. No other capitals on field so far.

Yes, 4054 players was the highest local count i've seen yet.. damn...! I wanna see a summary of the battle from ccp later..

Looks like Test is trickling in... Not looking good for them so far. I think we're still waiting for Tribe and PL to turn up (correct me if I am wrong).

Congrats CCP, I imagine the usual media storm will ensue after the battle. Twitch is already advertising and tweeting that they have the biggest Eve battle in history being streamed.

If goons win, I image the war won't last much longer. If they loose, then it will carry on for much much longer.

Biggest fight, biggest lag fest modules not responding people disconnecting not able to reconnect to server. Back to pre tidi days not a good sign CCP.

Is fleet fight lag getting back to pre TiDi days? Perhaps - but with at least twice as many (even as much as four times as many) people duking it out in the same place as before, I'd say It's not as bad as you make out.

4 times as many. Fights got like this with 1k back in 2010, now we had 4k.

Well, they were talking about a "Brain in a Box" mechanic which would have all our skills etc stored on a seperate server and retrieved so that people coming on grid etc would require much much less server effort. Don't know if that ever happened.

Take a few regions worth of nodes and combine them with the Jita node in as cartoonish a way as possible.
