I saw the change in role for the Armageddon with its neut/NOS range bonus and I'd like to see the same happen for the Minmatar and gallente. Now there's a choice between getting bonuses for webbing/Target painting for Minmatar and scrambling/sensor dampening for gallente. Being the indecisive person I am I'll touch on both methods for a start.

Minmatar

I think the typhoon in in position to use either webs or TP in combination with its missile platform.

If the choice is a webbing bonus, I would say 20% bonus to range of webs. If that's too much I would drop the missile explosion velocity bonus as a trade-off, same for target painting. Good in conjunction with torpedoes.

If you chose target painting, I would suggest a 20% to target painter optimal range.Very useful for cruise missile fits.

Gallente

It's a little more difficult to chose the ship since it has an attack BS (megathron) and a drone platform (dominix) but ill go with the megathron for this example.

Scramblers/disruptors would get a 10% range bonus per level. I don't often fly gallente so I'm not sure what fitting style this would emphasize but I see it as fitting in with the racial bonus line for their EWAR Cruisers.

Sensor dampeners would get either a 20% optimal bonus, a 20% effectiveness bonus, or a combined 10% bonus to both to give flexibility options. I know for sure the range bonus would be useful if rail guns are the choice of the day.

Note: ships would not get both EWAR bonuses but one or the other.

Feel free to offer your own stats or suggestions.

as much as i was hoping the domi was gonna get a sensor damp bonus. it has now become a solid sniper / drone platform which i always felt gallente needed badly.

but yes would love me some tanky ewar battleships

its only fair that since amarr got a perfectly good DPS battleship replaced with a Drone-EWAR battleship, all the other races get one too. gallente can have a second drone battleship with EWAR bonuses, the rokh can become a drone boat with EWAR bonuses, and the typhoon for minmatar.

i think the OP still doesnt realize that neuts and vamps doesnt count as EWAR, Tracking Disruptors on the other hand are the actual Amarr EWAR.

about that, yeah we could have more EWAR ships, Caldari is the only faction with an EWAR ship, the ideal thing would have been to have a progression similar to that of cruisers, but CCP prefer to make it with the current hulls instead of adding more. in that case we could had have 4 BS in each race, 2 for combat, 1 logistic and 1 EWAR platform.....

that, instead of i dunno.....NAVY BCs? Roll

That is actualy a good idea, and since these ships will be T1 ships they dont realy have to be more powerful than the cruiser T2 to have a real use.
Logi and ewar BS with around same logi/ewar ability as T1 cruisers but with more tank in trade for higher sig and less speed/agility (beeing BS hull and all that stuff Roll)

I thought this was a whine thread about EWAR, because BS also means bull****.

I like the current state of battleships. I don't think we need to change any current ones to EWAR platforms.

CCP has already stated that they wish to fill in the EWAR BS lines for Gal, Amarr, and Minmatar. They also intend to give Caldari another Attack or combat BS. The issue is the standard issue that always holds up new ships: They need the Art department to make the model and skin it which is VERY resource expensive. The last group of ships to be added with a new model were the Tier 3 BCs and the Revenant IIRC. And don't think the Art department hasn't been busy. We have had a whole host of visual advancements mainly with V3ing of everything, Making some T2 hulls look visually different, and other effects such as the missile effects in recent expansions.

common you realy want fine ships turned into craps like the scorpion?
who uses scorpions anyway?


instead of making other ewar battleships , why not change the scorp into something usefull?
