Hey,
I haven't seen a post about this in the last year, so i thought i would make a new one, It's only been the last couple of days that I've actually noticed it, but could have been going on for the last month since I've been back playing EvE..

It's been working fine, and then suddenly one day while trying to move the camera by dragging the screen in space, i started to align to some random spot for no reason. This continued and has continued still. It is doing it with every function in eve, every time i single click on something (and yes its single click, and its not the mouse, I've tried several) it double clicks, this includes ship spinning, which has changed into 'lets open your cargohold for no reason at all', aligning/orbiting or doing anything outside station, and even sending a mail, highlights everything you've typed when you click to type in a new place.

I would also like to point out, that this doesn't happen out of game, or in any other game, single click remains a single click.

Is there anything that can be done to solve this problem? It sort of ruins the game for me.

I have had this for a fair while now (In excess of 6-8 months) so I'd like to say +1, fix this **** and stop avoiding problems.

Oh so my mouse aint broke? thought that was my mouse getting old was really annoying ships randomly wondering off on their own just cuz u spun the camera round.... A fix would be nice as i found my hauler 170 km off the pos i was in, in 00 yesterday....

This basically just means that your mouse is old/broken. CCP can't fix that unless they start doing housecalls.

I've had this, but only under certain conditions.

Main gaming rig, win7 64, MX518.. never happened, not once.
Laptop, win7 64, crappy standard Dell mouse.. happens all the time.
(Same double click delay settings on both machines)

I have had the same effect in a couple of other games, for example in Patrician IV when clicking on arrows to increase amounts in trade route windows it would suddenly jump two incremements with the crappy mouse on the lappy, yet never happen with the gaming mouse. Same deal, switch mice and the effect follows to the other machine.
I also tested it with Crysis, occationally the crappy mouse would fire a second shot when my rifle is set to single shot mode. Both machines.

For me the effect is repeatable, on different games, and it carries over to different machines with the mouse. I'm convinced its my insultingly shoddy Dell mouse.

Fine, i'll take my socks off, but the goggles stay!

I wish this were true, but its not.
Mouse doesn't double click in any other aplication when i drag or single click, just this one. Its less than a year old, and have tried other mice, same issue in EvE but no other application.
