They are missing more than one pirate faction Battleship and I'd like to take a moment to explore what they could do with the missing slots. Please allow for some exposition and stupid ideas to follow.

I see the following missing:

For Primary I mean ship style and typically primary weapon/defense type. Clearly there can be differences but we will explore those in a little while. For secondary I mean how the primary weapon type is supported and not anything about style, just its utility.

Primary | Secondary

1. Gallente | Amarr
2. Gallente | Caldari
3. Caldari | Minmitar
4. Minmitar | Amarr
5. Minmitar | Caldari
6. Amarr | Caldari
7. Amarr | Gallente

The nightmare and Macharial (to an extent) are the only Pirate Faction Battleship that has a frame that is not racial to the four main races. In most cases the Primary race is the style choice and the secondary plays some part in overall performance. That means there are seven gaps to fill, and there are lots of weapon system gaps as well. The Rattlesnake is also the only pirate faction ship that's primary weapon system is from the secondary racial field.

When looking at weapon systems there are seven types of weapon systems:

1). Energy Management Weapons
2). Hybrid
3). Laser
4). Missiles
5). Projectile
6). Bombs
7). Drones

That means there are a possible 49 different weapon configurations, or most likely 28 effective combinations with even less combinations being useable. Lets look at what we have already:

Name of Ship | Primary/Secondary

1. Bhaalgon | EMS/EMS
2. Vindicator | Hybrid/EMS
3. Nightmare | Laser/Laser
4. Machariel | Projectile/Projectile
5. Rattlesnake | Drones/Missiles

The question than is: There are 7 ships missing and 23 weapon configurations missing. Lets play a game. Make a ship combination that would add something to the mix. Here is the matrix chart:

I am not an expert at making ship types, but I know many of you are so I'd like to see what possible combinations people think would serve a useful purpose and not just add ships for shitz. Try to use as many different weapon system configurations as possible and think outside the box.

We need proper armor missile boats, not that wishy washy minmatar or occasional khanid garbage. A nicely tanked battleship with a web range bonus, 4 mids, and enough highs for torps and some neuts. Something to make cynabals and machariels wet themselves in terror.

(I guess it would just be a bigger pirate sacrilege)

that distribution is failed one. we currently have pirate factions and adding new ones and mixind skills not necessary . some factions are not used , for ex. EoM. And some ones , like guris , are FFS DRONE ONES , NOT MISSILE !! ( btw , why ?)

+1 to that , but not only armor but shield too . for now we dont have missile pirate ships at all , and every one that call rattle missile boat -> go & biomass urself

Why is it a failed one? It follows the exact rules already established combinations. I am not establishing anything new nor saying which pirate factions should get the ships. I'd go so far as to say lesser used pirate factions that no one does missions for SHOULD get the new ships as BPC, but that is besides the point.

I have no preference on which combinations or weapon sets would be the most useful, only that they shouldn't be copies of existing setups.

Introduce Khanid navy ships with armour and missiles thus letting the amarr have t2 drone boats like they are supposed to.

Khanid Navy Maller
Khanid Navy Punisher

Happy days

Meanwhile Sac, vengeance, malediction, damnation, anathema can all have the drone bonus they are supposed to have (of these only the sac and vengeance are even proper combat ships).

all of concept need to be redone from scratch.
drone ships , from drone factions, from drone regs (love that tantacled domixes ^_^), guris needs become missile boats , ect

Yeas, because that is what currently exists and there are missing skill combinations. So, use the missing skill combinations and make ships. No need to start from scratch as that is basically a different game at this point.

if we add to all of ur combination pirate ship we'll have too many of them , if we take in consideration that pirate are better than navy ships that means t1(well maybe except domi) and navy ships go to junk yard , and there is no need to that. we have some role gaps that needs to be filled like missile ships

I dunno what you mean by missing, they only need 1 Pirate Bs per faction.... More doesn't make any sense. The idea that any pirate faction but sanshas would have the capability to produce multiple variants is a bit laughable. Plus the current numbers is good symetry 3 t1, 2 navy, 1 pirate.

What is needed though is ships for the factions who currently have none. Syndicate, Khanid, Ammatar, SOE, Mordus, Thukker tribe. ORE doesn't have faction ships either but i guess you could ignore that for the t1 ORE ships. Interbus and SOCT have special gift ships and tbh wouldn't be that exciting anyway.

For the pirates what they need is a bc and a destroyer for each faction.

Minor faction weapon themes;

Khanid - armour and missiles
Ammatar - armour and projectiles
Mordus - ecm and missiles
Thukker - speeeed and missiles
Soe - exporation
Syndicate - good question, hybrids and damps maybe?

Personally i dont care about wepaon combinations, they should have the weapons the background says they should have not fill in missing "slots". CCP already broke this themselves when they made the sanshas, who drop armour mods and implants, into a shield tanking race.

However to match your list of missing skill combinations to the shipless factions through background info you would do it like this.

Amarr|Caldari is clearly the khanid - Amarr type hulls (armour tank) with missile tech and better electronics. Torp baddon!
Minmatar|Amarr is clearly the Ammattar - Again Amarr huls (armour tank) and i think projectiles makes sense. Artygeddon!
Gallente|Caldari - Mordus for sure, Caldari style ships with ewar but maybe focus on hynrids over missiles for the gal side Blasterscorp!

More tenuous

Gallente|Amarr - Syndicate - Next to contested border between amarr and gallente, so gal ships with lasers? Lasermega?
Minmatar|Caldari - Thukker Tribe - no fluff reason but i like the idea that thukker get some non miny tech from cal for their missiles, minmatar style ships with missiles nanomissile pest!

that leaves Amarr/Gallente which i would say fits EOM (they are amarr using hybrid weapons) ok, but they dont have any space/stations/agents. Adding such would be cool. Blasterpoc!

The question is would these be navy level ships and get one skill from each race or full pirate with two? I would think navy equiv personally.

Bio:
Trudging through the halls of imperialistic ideal, Korako ‘Rabbit' Kosakami does not shy away from his once fallen claim as the creator of the Scorpion-class battleship. Finding new methods of viciousness, a behemoth has entered the battlefield causing many capsuleers to move in its wake.

Special Ability: 60% bonus to Smartbomb area of effect radius

Amarr primary (Armor)
4% armor resistance per level

Caldari Secondary (Bombs)
5% bonus to bomb damage per level

Notes: Can fit two bomb launchers (This would break the max modules of this group allowed, but only for this ship type of course)

Thoughts:

All pirate ships come with a special ability and I feel asking for 2 bomb launchers isnt too much of a request for this type of weapon system. Would players actually fly this ship? Maybe not as much as the Rattlesnake but it would certainly have its own niche. I think this would be the King Koopa of battleships. Its counterpart the Nightmare would be proud.
