Drone boats for missions and rats

I'm a miner looking to run some missions, check out those sansha anomalies, figuring out this whole shooting baddies etc. between firing mah lazors at rocks. I'm low on SP but as a miner I've got skills invested in drones so I'm hoping to rely on them for the pewpew for the most part. I wanted some advice on a drone boat family. Perhaps Cruiser-BC-BS, BC-BS might be enough.

I'm Amarr so naturally I started looking at the Amarr ones: Prophecy and Armageddon. Both look fine:
  • Prophecy seems like he has a decent tank with the armor res,75Mb BW I can have 3 sentries out and a big enough bay so I can switch to medium drones.

  • Armageddon has good armor hp, I don't know if the vampire would be useful in PVE, maybe to suck some GJ to keep more lasers/reppers going? Max BW means whatever drones I want.

  • Gallente is TEH drone guys and Myrmidon and Dominix look good:
  • Myrmidon has lower armor hp and resistances, but the repper bonus seems good. 25 more BW so and extra sentry. So less tanky than Prophecy but more dmg?

  • Dominix seems a little less tanky (a little lower armor hp), but I'm guessing the tracking bonus and range bonus mean a little higher dps.

  • Cruiser-wise Vexor seems to beat Arbitrator with the higher BW and armor hp, I doubt that tracking disruptor is making up for 500 hp.

Is my analysis correct? Amarr is more sturdy but Gallente has higher DPS? Is the difference very noticeable? Anything more experienced pilots can tell me regarding choice?

    Thanks for any help/tips/tricks

Basically drone boats for incursions suck. The fact that you lose dps as your drones die will make you useless.

Now as for missions as long as you dont mind losing drones now and again...or using a mjd and constantly repositioning your sentries the domi wins out period.

Geddon can do a bit but domi just has better dps and tank.

Domi is the best pure drone platform right now. Get t2 sentries, t2 omnidirectionals and MJD and you can quite easily get 700+ DPS to over 80km range even with low skills.

Does drones V, drone interfacing V, sentry drone interfacing V, drone sharpshooting V and gallente battleship IV+ really count as low skills? Didn't even list the support skills that are not a strict requirement for what you specified.

Drone interfacing V and gallente battleship IV not required to get 700 DPS

Well Drones V, Drone interfacing IV, Drone sharpshooting IV just come with the mining

Sentry Drone Interfacing and Gallente BS would be a side step for me.

So people agree that Dom is far better than Armageddon?
What about the BCs? Is the Myrmidon also better than the Prophecy? Is there any reason to use a BC over a BS? Are there anomalies that will let a BC in but not a BS?

Domi is better for pure pve, myrmidon is better than the prophecy for pve also since it can field 4 sentries and has 5 mids.

No reason to use a BC, I think 4/10 accepts both and 3/10 and below aren't really worth doing.

Rat in the archon, you will be using sentries anyway.

4/10 does not allow a battleship to enter. Battlecruisers and below.

Carrier ratting is bad. Unless you tell me when and where.

i was messing around with the geddon in EFT the other day, very good damage if uses cruise missiles. you could put two drone link aumentors where the neuts/vamps go.

it can carry 3 drone damage amplifiers and 3 omnidirectionals along with the afterburner, this leaves 4 slots for tank, be it adding hardeners/nanos and an armor repper, and the last one could be a ballistic control.

this leaves you 3 rigs that you could use for trimarks, at full skills that thing is going like 2700+ damage along with the drones and can put like 55k EHP.

a very solid ship, im training for the missiles right now.

If you use all rigs for tanking, your EFT missile dps will amount to not much in game unless you only shoot at battleship.

yeah i guess, the other would be to put drone rigs there. im no EFT warrior but from what i saw in the fit it was a good balance between tank and gank.

missiles are just supplemental damage in the geddon though, drones should be your main focus.

However trimarks for pve =S? Not so much.
