Kinda lame seeing this idiot going around forums giving non- existant bids.

Why I know? Guy used same toons to dump stuff on me on multiple occassions.

I might advise a sniper like 5-10minutes, serious bidders will be there at the end and will make their bids in time.

6 hours will attract trolls, also, serious bidder might not be there when the 6h end, which in turn is robbing yourself from isk. You might want to take a look at the Grendell auctions that are going well, just as a reference.
