Belt Volume / Worth

Hi there,

i wonder what the average belt volume / worth of a 0.0 belt is ?

e.g.:

I scanned Highsec belts and put the results in a lil spreadsheet and it stated (while breaking down the ore to mins and taking into account Jita Sell orders) that the average Hghsec belt in 0.6 space is worth
aprox. 160 Mill ISK.

I tried on the test server and came to the conclusion that the average, not mined / upgraded belt in 0.0 (-.5 truesec)
is about 220-250 Mill Isk

can anyone confirm ? has anyone ever run the numbers ?

thx in advance
regards
Psykikk

yeah. sad indeed.

oh and by average belt I meant the average nullsec belt in sytems without upgraded Industrial Index.. no anomalies.

Feel free to fly into Null and test it out yourself.

tbh its less about flying into null and scanning the heck out of the belts. (did it, can do it anytime again) its more that I am not sure my sheet works out correctly. so i wondered: miners seem to calculate every bit and step they do. why not ask them if my estimates are correct.

Look at it as m3 instead of value. Will make scouting belt so much easier.

0.0 does not mine in belts. They mine in the much more profitable ore sites found with the discovery scanner. These are mine quickly and respawn nearly instantly.

When I get home I can put it into my spreadsheet and I can tell you the value of the scanable gravimetrics. But no idea if anyone estimated the value of regular belts.

As Aliventi said, noone mine those. Only if you have industry 0 and you wanna boost it up.

But, truth is last 2 years I mined in crap security systems, because we were renting and we wanted the lowest rent possible, that is the reason why those belts sux.

Before that I lived in Delve and I was the only miner in our constallation, so I used to mine tons of bistot from the belts, it was nice ISK.

Giant Grav site :

Total - 15,804,000.00 m3, 3,882,114,433.50 ISK
Average ISK/m3 - 245.64

I have it also with ore composition, but it is hard to copy excel sheet in this forums, and it is real mess :D

If you really need it, I can upload it to some google doc or something.

nice. thats what I was intending. an di bet you are not the only one who has done it.

thx mate.

on a side note: you all say "nobody mines belts in 0.0"....
is that still valid because of the scan / exploration changes ?

is that just due to the fact that belts respawn immediatly (almost) , rather than security reasons ?

because... with the changes you can as well just mine directly next to the gate for ganking convenience...

The problem with mining regular belts is that the rocks are too small and it is too much effort to mine them, it is really annoying.

And it is easier to mine 50k unit Bistot rock then mining 50 rocks with 1k unit in it. Not to mention those 50 rocks won't be in same place, but you will have to rewarp and stuff.
