HAM's > HM's, Buff needed!!!!

Currently switched over to heavy assault missiles. With my heavy assault missile skill only at 3 and with one less ballistic control system 2 , they do a good 50 dps more than my tech 2 heavy missiles (which i spent weeks training). They further have 25% better damage application (at least) and have a very decent range of 24km. The only thing that my tech 2 heavy missiles have going for them is range, and that means little due to their pathetic explosion radius/velocity. To really highlight this problem my tech 2 precision, yes "PRECISION" heavy missiles have the same explosion radius (125m) and a lower explosion velocity (97 vs 101) than tech 1 heavy assault missiles. It's time to admit that HM's need a buff, otherwise HAM's will be the only missile system used in eve.

Heavy missile = long range, low damage
Heavy assault missile = close range, high damage

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Also, learn to use webs, target painters, Rigors and Flares.

HAMs won't be the only missile type used in the game because rockets, light missiles and cruises can be quite brutal in right hands. Heavy missiles do have their role too.

I'm not sure why your precision missiles are worse than your HAMs, but in my experience they have greatly superior damage application versus small, fast moving targets.

HMs were recently nerfed so I'm sorry to say that CCP is unlikely to buff them any time soon.

Like the man said, you can improve damage application with webs, TPs, rigors and flares.

I don't use flares/rigors on my hml fit
a webbed & painted frigate or cruiser takes more damage from precisions than it does from furies
i only use furies for bc & bs sized targets

sure the 10s reload time is a pain, but i find it works well for the way i play

The only buff they need is to add missiles to TE's /TC's as soon as they nerf HAM range mind

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Nerf web strength, Make the blaster Eagle worth using

they have 15km range . where to nerf them ?
