I am tired of this NPC corp taking 5% for refining ore at their station. I have an alt (we are in the same corp) running missions for the NPC corp but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. How so I lower that 5%? I am assuming it is possible.

"We take" part depends on your corpstandings, you need 6.67 standings for 0 tax.
The other "waste" or whatever part depends on your refining skills and the stations base refining rate.

Have your mission runner fleet up with your refinery guy and share rewards. It is a slow process but you will start to gain standing and loose less minerals.

Just to make it clear, its your personal standings that count, not the corp you are in.
So you need to increase your standings by doing missions yourself, or fleet and share rewards.
