Synopsis: Unprovoked attacks on Pyre Falcon Defence Combine by Diana Kim of State Protectorate

BEGIN REPORT

1. The following After Action Report is an outline of events documenting blue-on-blue engagement instigated by Diana Kim of State Protectorate towards Veikitamo Gesakaarin and Desiderya Tuulinen of Pyre Falcon Defence Combine in the Eha and Innia solar systems on 19 JULY YC 115.

2. At approximately 1030 Hours 19 JULY YC 115 a Pyre Falcon Defence Combine combat patrol consisting of Veikitamo Gesakaarin in a Kestrel class frigate and Desiderya Tuulinen in a Heron class frigate entered Eha solar system to conduct sweep and clear operations of Federal Defence Union enemy fleet combatants.

3. As local FTL lists displayed FDU hostiles present in Eha solar system at the time of jump-in as being at between four to five current Fleet Callsign size the decision was made by Veikitamo Gesakaarin to conduct sweeps of detected Federal military installations with the intent of provoking a meeting fire contact and escalation with FDU hostiles present in system.

4. PFDC Fleet elements maintained overwatch position inside a Federal military complex for approximately five minutes while continuing passive ship sensor scans. As no engagement had occurred with FDU hostiles during overwatch the decision was made by Veikitamo Gesakaarin to make positive visual contact as to Friend or Foe with an unidentified Hookbill class frigate detected in another Federal military complex in the Eha system via ship sensor scans.

5. Upon entry into Federal military complex where unidentified Hookbill class frigate was detected positive visual identification was made that the vessel was a State Protectorate friendly belonging to Diana Kim and orders were given to exit the vicinity in order to continue combat sweeps against FDU hostiles. Before the withdrawal could occur and whilst the Kestrel class frigate of Veikitamo Gesakaarin was idle and stationary having undertaken no actions it was electronically warp disrupted at range and fired upon in an unprovoked attack by the Hookbill class frigate of Diana Kim.

6. Upon positive hostile contact initiated by the Hookbill class frigate of Diana Kim rapid interdiction orders were immediately given but were unable to be put in effect due to lack of base speed on the Kestrel class frigate of Veikitamo Gesakaarin. A tactical slingshot maneuver was instead initiated with the objective of bringing the Hookbill class frigate of Diana Kim within the warp scrambler and stasis webification range of the Heron class frigate of Desiderya Tuulinen as they sought chase of the Kestrel class frigate of Veikitamo Gesakaarin.

7. The maneuver was successful and positive shutdown of the microwarpdrive in addition to the stasis webification of the Hookbill class frigate of Diana Kim was made. The Hookbill class frigate of Diana Kim was then destroyed by the combined fire of the Kestrel and Heron class frigates of Veikitamo Gesakaarin and Desiderya Tuulinen with no losses congruent with standing Pyre Falcon Defence Combine ROE regarding being engaged and fired upon first in a blue-on-blue or "AWOX" scenario.

Also, interesting to note that while Kim seems quick to insult any foreign elements, she has been seen piloting both Federate and Imperial ship classes in combat.

Infighting is never a pleasant thing. No matter who wins, everyone loses due to the time/resources wasted that could be better spent engaging the actual enemy.

I wonder what actually provoked this.

It's sad to see those that should be allies turn their guns against each other. Is there any explanation for captain Kim's actions? In my land, attacking a friendly unknowingly is called "friendly fire", but knowingly it is called treason...

Unfortunate that things finally became so clear. It seems so long and distant ago that I once hoped she might still be brought back from this madness.

Amusing, but not surprising.

While it is sad to see that it has come to this with Diana Kim, I can't say I wasn't expecting this to happen, especially after Heth had been declared a terrorist.

Diana Kim needs long term, residential, inpatient treatment for her psychological disorders. We have offered this service through our Yulai center free of charge to Ms. Kim. The offer is still open. If things stay as they are, I sense there will be a violent end. This would be most unfortunate.

If she did take you up on your offer it'd be the first actual thing that you've done. I'm not holding my breath.

I applaud Kim's conviction, as Tuulinen did. Just a shame it has fueled misguided actions.

Essentially, yes. I suppose making effective choices in life with a degree of intelligence never was the forte of the Provists.
