Protest threads really aren't allowed. Also, I think you meant Incarna, not Tyrannis :D

I am not questioning WHY a post was moderated.

I'm asking where this "No Protest Threads" rule is and when it came into effect because we had quite a few protest threads before that did not get locked. I've been posting a while and I've never seen it before, and as evidenced in the other thread a couple people would like to know to.

Is the rule new?

It's a simple yes or no question.

ONCE AGAIN: It isnt in the game details. Its in how its being handled by CCP and the playerbase's reaction.

Already said CCP arn't being as bad in this matter. The rage you have seen from the playerbase here is nothing compared to the rage and hate on the SWG forums. SOE went on a banning frenzy and booted anyone who dissagreed with them be they ranting or making valid points. I doubt CCP has banned the same amount of players in the past 8 years then in the first few weeks of the NGE.

Its hard to express to people who wern't there to see it.

Quite honestly CCP are being very open and chatty on these new forums.

orly?

Its beginning to reach those levels. Now we're not even allowed to loudly disagree.

Wow.....link that quote from Fallout to some of the entities covering the minutes of the minutes shenanigans (PCgamer, Eurogamer, Edge, etc.). If enough people give em this tip, might get a few more articles in the media out of this whole thing, which might be useful since that's the only thing CCP seems to care about these days...

A forum is by definition a place for public discourse. That CCP would openly ban the organization of protests, a legitimate form of public discourse recognized as a fundamental right in practically every developed country in the world...Shocked.

this forum isn't ******* iceland. you don't have free speech on a goddamn forum owned by a company.

and that rule has ALWAYS been there (the no protest threads rule), they just are usually lax about enforcement because exactly the type of dumb ass snot noised pisspantings we keep seeing from the people who cannot tell the difference between NGE and a ******* addon of walking-in-stations.

freaking hell you people need to get some goddamn perspective.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

If the rule indeed has been there forever, could you perhaps post a source on that information? As to "noised pisspantings", well the most poor-toned post in this thread seems to be yours Blink.

You better watch out, next thing you know CCP will demand Twitter shutdown over riot concerns, not to mention RIMM will give them full chat logs.

Is this like the Jita Riots when GM's were seen reprogramming concord to fire on the peaceful protesters?

A better statement would have been "duplicate thread" and locked it.

I believe earlier someone in the thread below was saying that unlike on SWG forums, at least people here weren't being gagged / censored / banned for their opinions. (read through it. it's in there somewhere).

Not so sure about that now...

People were constantly telling me I was crazy. For a long time I didn't believe them, but after a while, I started to think they might be right.

But it turns out that they were all wrong. One of the voices in my head is a psychiatrist and he says I'm perfectly sane.
