So I love this little ship.

1) It looks like it could transform in to a robot.
2) It's fast and agile, so I don't get bored flying it.
3) It could fit guns if I wanted.
4) It gathers GAS or ORE (I Wish it did ICE)

So before anyone comments on how I should get into a MACH or HULK.... I've had those on other toons and it was boring to play them.

I want this alt toon to ONLY Fly this ship and max the skills to be able to play it well at whatever this guy can do.

My question is what would you do with this ship to make enough to PLEX the Dual training cost each month.
The caveat is you have to use THIS ship to do it.

Anybody else love this ship with good ideas?

Low Sec, Null Sec, High Sec, it doesn't matter which. If you have a reference link to learning about the task, that would be over valued, really!

Join a worm holing corp and be a gas harvester and/or null/dangerous space mining. You can try to make those work.

Yeah, Venture was clearly specifically designed for mining in Low/Null/J-space, as it has enough ore hold and yield to be fairly useful while simultaneously being more capable of escaping from ganks and cheap enough to easily replace when you do lose one.

In addition to mining and gun-based DPS combat, you can also use a Venture for espionage. A Venture can fit a regular Cloaking Device, turning it into a pseudo-version of the reviled-in-Null-Sec "(AFK) Cloaky Camper." You can then load up any combination of:
- Expanded Probe Launcher with Combat Probes for scanning while cloaked. This would allow you to present a greater threat than you are, as their presence implies you're hunting for a target to gank and/or hotdrop.
- 1 or 2 Mining equipment of choice so you can ninja mine. Obviously, you cannot mine while cloaked, so a strategy here would be to act like the usual cloaky suspects until they're all docked up scared, then go and mine while watching Dscan like a hawk for any brave locals, at which point you'd cloak up again so they don't find you. It'd be a novel use of the AFK Cloaking pandemonium, for sure, if maybe inefficient.
- Or even a Cynosural Field Generator I. Yes, a Venture can fit that, and this puppy will turn you into the NullBear's true fear: the Hotdropper. Plant it, and you get "Instant Battlefleet, Just Add Titan." Combined with the EPL with Combat Probes, it lets you make the implied threat a reality. I find it funny that the humble Venture, given to every newbie in a tutorial mission, can potentially become the stuff of NullSec nightmares. Of course, in addition to providing a landing beacon for Titan Bridges, your cyno can allow other Jump-capable caps to just hop right in on their own, or be used in a benign manner for Jump Freighters going to/from High-Sec.

To fit Cloak + Cyno + ExpProbe Launcher will need your CPU-related skills at a high level, and depending on mids fit (or if your CPU fitting skills aren't V) you may also require 1 or 2 Small CPU Overclocking Rig I and/or a Co-processor in lowslot.

There's also turning your Venture into a little Logi ship for fleet/POS support. A Null alliance might like this one, as you'd be an extra healer to help the main logi support. Or a fast tackler like other frigates; its 3 mid slots are a perfect fit for a warp jammer, prop mod, and web.

While these options won't necessarily make money on their own, a Null Alliance may be more willing to accept a Venture pilot in their corp and belts when they see the CTA-capable models. No guarantee, of course, but it's possible. After all, Goons have Baltecfleet, so there is precedence for accepting guys who only fly Hull X to do whatever in. And if a Null group lets you in because of the combat Ventures, when there is no need of the combat varieties then you'd have all that nice Null-Sec space to just do what the Venture does best, possibly in a mining op fleet with an Orca.

You could also put on salvagers and a tractor beam and salvage wrecks for loot; you'd just have to mind the small cargo hold that the Venture has.

You could sit in a highsec belt and mine all day, at the end of the day, anything to do with mining, in high or null is boring :P

i've been dying to see 100+ ventures spider remote shield transfer clean out ore from barge fleets with the cycle time to **** with them...
