Weird difference between two characters same skills same ships.

I have 2 pilots and yesterday i noticed something weird
Having exactly the same ships
and same skills i have different drone attack range first one is 105km and second is 102km

To make that easier for you i will lay down the skills i am taking into concideration so maybe you can help me into what i forgot.
First i have sentries and dominix

So
Both chars have Gallente BS 5 , Sentry drones 5 , Drone sharpshooting 5, 2x drone range aug II


Is there anything else that can affect the drone range attack ?

That difference dont make me back off from anything i am just curious why it exists. Feel free to ask me any question

Electronic Warfare Drone Interfacing skill adds 3km drone control range per level.

It's a fair bet one of your characters has that skill at a level higher than the other.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

it fills the gap but thats only for ecm drones isnt it ? it does have 1 level of difference though

Despite the name of the skill, the increase in drone control range it gives is for all drones.

Kind of an odd description in that skill, but in fact it affects all your sub-cap drones. (I'm not sure about fighters and bombers)

Read the description carefully:

I agree it is a stupid name.

It does NOT affect fighters and bombers, as they don't have a control range limit. They'll even follow a target into warp.

The description is spot on, it is that the skill name is the same as a specific category of drones that is misleading.

I spent a couple of evenings many years ago reading the full description of every skill in the game. Just doing that can teach you a lot about Eve.
