With the recent feature to offset your camera it gives an excellent opportunity to view broadside exchanges between two ships with the scanners tracking option, however there is one issue.

When you use tracking camera option in the scanning menu it will override the offset bringing the camera back behind your ship to the 0 degree view. This eliminates a broadside exchange view and prompts the player to manually move the camera, thereby disrupting the tracking on the enemy ship.

The second option, using advanced camera controls parent and interest function, is too clunky and not good for the heat of the battle. It also skews and pans during a ships obit confusing the viewer.

There has to be a way to get the offset to stay still while using the scanners tracking mode. Please ammend this CCP as it is the perfect way to see broadside exchanges in the heat of battle while not taxing the player for more input commands or manual camera movement.
