Gate jump effects missing

I am not able to see any effect when people are jumping gates. Is this due to graphic settings set to performance or is
just a missing feature ?

There has not been an update in 3 weeks. I think CCP stopped reading it or are on vacation again.

This is about the sound of the gates.....

to make a long story short - and to not go into too technical details - the sounds were tied to certain code which was dependent on the graphics - with the change of graphics on the gates, as well as the added new transitions as well as to wormholes - some of the code was removed and some of the graphics were changed overwriting certain code and changing certain dependencies - therefore these sounds are gone or changed unintentionally .

The graphics and the code is out of mine and my colleagues hands for now, so we are waiting for the dependencies to be fixed before we can implement the sounds back into the game - this will be patched asap.



And I found this about the gate (non) flash.

All the gates now have different states, so if you watch closely you will see:
- Neutral state: A subtle fx when no one is jumping.
- Active state: Gate has been activated , you see lightning bolts, the intensity of the tear increases, someone is about to jump and gate will continue active while people are jumping, returns to neutral state after a few seconds of inactivity.
- Jump: The FX when you actually jump, where you see a flash on the core and a beam shooting into the direction of travel.

Hopefully you can see that some thought has been put into this which doesnt mean your concerns aren't valid, hence I'm posting specially to let you know your concerns are heard.

Regarding the sounds, CCP WhiteNoiseTrash is the right person to answer those questions.
