Hi, So I have just returned from a lengthy break from the game... t3's cant do high sec DED's anymore DAMN IT!

So looking to do 4/10's are these at all lucrative to run with a Faction cruiser or HACruiser? I'm amarr and Caldari trained so was thinking maybe a Phantasm or Cerb?

Any fits or recommendations would be appreciated. Also any comments on how lucrative 4/10's can be?

Almost every faction or T2 cruiser can blitz the 4/10, some of the navy cruisers even do well in 4/10 sites, the majority of ships in 4/10 sites are frigates keep that in mind when fitting the ship.

Exploration is in lucrative profession, but it's largely based on luck. It's random what and how many sites you find a day, and just as random what loot you get. You may not find any sites, or you might find 10 with no loot and there is a chance you only find one site and still hit the jackpot.

You also need to remember that there is a chance other people find the same exploration sites, and race you for the loot, so don't count the isk before the loot is back in the hanger.

If you do 1-2 hours of exploration a day and take you average income over a month you probably end up at 50M an hour, if you spend less then 1 hour a day it's a lot more random what you get.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

If you just want to chase GSOs, just get a Cerberus and be fast enough to race. Maybe this:

[Cerberus, explorer]
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Reactor Control Unit II

Gistum A-Type 10MN Microwarpdrive
Pithi B-Type Small Shield Booster
Pithum C-Type Kinetic Deflection Amplifier
Large Peroxide Capacitor Power Cell
Cap Recharger II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Sisters Core Probe Launcher, Core Scanner Probe I

Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst II

As for how lucrative high sec 4/10 crashing is? I have no idea. Low sec is just way more engaging to me. YMMV, obviously.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the only good thing about this overpriced fit seems to be cap stability and that isn't much of an upside. It isn't comparatively fast, so it'll lose to other MWD fitted ship. It hasn't got high DPS or immediate DPS, so it'll lose to many ships including heavy assault missile cerbs on the loot drop ownership advantage. It's a lazymode fit that will easily get the job done, but it's not a PLEX racing fit.

The whole point of fitting a highsec race ship is to be better then the competition, so you need to fit something to try to get that edge and get rid of the fat in order to achieve it. Cap stability should be the first to go when trimming that fat. It allows to get rid of the RCU and fit something to increase your speed/agility. Active kinetic hardeners would also severely reduce the need to do any boosting. Two kinetic hardeners alone would probably remove the need to do any boosting in a GSO on a cerb and still keep your shield up. Even if you feel the need to do boosting they severely cut down on cap consumption of your ship, since you can pulse your modules without any downsides. It won't be cap stable, but in practice you're not going to run out of cap.

Yup, all totally fair points. I clearly have messed up priorities for competing GSOs. Ignore that fit.

Managed to rack up just shy of 18 bil on GSO's for the three weeks prior to odyssey. For a couple days it became harder to find the sites as everyone and their mom was running them. But it got a bit better. Sleipnir was definitely 2x faster than tengu running these. The very last one I did before rejoining BL also had a gnosis at the end. Had no prob melting that too.
