There are many channels on the EVE forum, but there is only one that really matters. General discussion is the heart and soul of the community.

The question is often asked, "What is General Discussion?"

General discussion is the place where all the discussions worth having happen.
General discussion is where alliances are forged and broken.
General discussion is where people are free to speak their minds about things that matter.

I have never seen a forum with as high a quality as general discussion. The debates here are not only interesting, but they make a real impact on the world. They shape the future of the game. Simply put, general discussion is where the spirit of this community resides.

I ask you, how has general discussion changed your life?

GD is a handy resource to have whenever somebody claims that EVE players are smarter than players of other games, I can just point them here and quickly dispel that myth.

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

I wish this was the case, but the forum n a z i's do tend to close threads down rather randomly at times. Sure, they quote one of their little rules to justify it, but often it seems to be that they bear little resemblance to the actual topic being discussed in the thread.

Apart from that though, it's all good in GD!

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.
