Just train every skill that pops up green in the list. No matter if you end up with a minimarrlgaldari indy/pve/miner/pvp character.

It's what people want. Really.

The rare ones are what people want.

The advice to look on character bazarr is helpful, but dont look at what is there most (usually miners, tengu pilots, and pvprs). The rare ones are the better ones, i think.

For me, i had the best conversion rates with industry/invention characters. get them to lvl 4 on all the invention skills, able to build or invent anything asside from tech 3 ships. THOSE are something people want, but, also, people dont sell them (they make billions a month). make THAT.

if you build one of those, also note that they should not have ANY faction standings. never ever allow them to get a storyline, or kill a faction ship... because they're going to want to put them in corporations for empire production, but not to ruin the corps standing/ability to place them. (the alterntivie to this is to get 2 factions to +7).

miners are a dime a dozen, and dont sell for good isk most the time.

pvprs are a dime a dozen. most people are too picky to buy one unless all fitting/guns are lvl 5, including the t2 skills..

tengu piliot is the easy way out, and right now, tengus are not the best missioner (which is why most sold)...

so, spend 10-12 months on a great insutry character, and make bank while it trains, and then sell it. chances are, you wont want to sell it by the time it's ready

Whatever you do, I would avoid training mining skills. Mining characters are likely to decline in value as miners give up the trade.

basic gunnery skills at 5. Small/medium and large ( just the one type lasers or what ever )
racial ship skills at 4 or 5 where needed. frigs/dessie/cruiser/bc/bs
basic navi skills at 4 or 5.

no t3 skills at all

and best yet and offensive name so it can get petitioned so they can pick a new name once they own it.... :)
