API - Updating

Hi, trying to get an understanding on the frequency of the API information being updated.

I've deleted all my mail > created a full api > upon an API looking all the mail is still there.
I've waited over 24hrs and the API call displays new mail that I've received but continues to display all deleted emails.

Why does the API still contain these emails?

Yes I've deleted AND emptied the trash.

Clear your mail cache, repeat the previous steps, wait a full 7 days. Create a petition if that fails.

In the EVE Mail system then "Deleted" is really a label, not status. Gmail was much more the inspiration for EVE Mail than classic email.
