Ok when I mine I have 4 cycles then I dock.

It would be nice if I could queue up 4 miner cycles, then automate a dock using the in-game EVE client

this wouldn't be AFK mining as I'd still need to check on it every 18 minutes or so.

This would also work great for other jobs such as having combat support alts.

Queue up a cloak + 15 smartbombs and you have a Rokh mine, if you decloak it he kills you, this way I can still PVP when I am mowing the lawn or taking a nap.

In Baldur's Gate they called these "Sequencers"

In EVE we should have a new skill that adds +1 skill to the action queue with a total of 6 actions being queued up.

Another game that implemented this very well was Knights of the Old Republic.

Thank You Obama!

In EvE, this is called "botting". Please go do it so we can stop reading your threads already.

EvE will not change to suit you. If you can't change to suit EvE, than it looks like you're screwed.

While the original idea and the posters motivation is bad and he should feel bad, it has some merit on a very limited level. When you're brawling it out in 10% TiDi, it can get frustrating watching to see if your commands are going to go through or just get lost in the ether, and a limited "these commands are in progress" list would be kinda neat so you know to not keep spamming the jump key, or that your weapons are eventually going to uncycle, or maybe your drones will do something in the near future. Of course, I suspect such a thing would only add to the processing requirement, and hence slow everything down even further, so perhaps it is a garbage suggestion.

action Queuing? I barely have have enough time to get all my stuff done in real time when either killing people or NPC's... There is always something you could be doing at any given point so I for one would see this a a bad thing since I already don't have enough time to do what I want let alone plan seconds ahead...

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

During Incarna CCP did make a comment that they where considering an official automation interface for action automation to control "botting", probably for a PLEX price. They allow multibox automation so I don't see this as a s0upprise.

Unlike some, I do have a good memory and also analysed each of their comments and publication during Incarna.

We have action queuing.

It's called an autopilot.

IsBox 2.0.

We need more clever time sinks, not more macro ways to do things faster and faster. I prefer the micromanaging as you're rewarded in how to do things more efficiently. That's not putting in on some queue and AFKing it to "win".

Somethings for mid warp wouldn't be terrible. We already have a few, like you WT0 on a gate, and mid warp hit jump, you'll jump when you get there. I wouldn't mind some way to queue up my probes to launch or align to some other celestial as soon as I get out of warp.

Skill Training Online is to Tom Gerard what Lady GaGa is to Madonna, i.e. this generation's Tom/Madonna but with half the talent.

But +1 because this made me smile: "Queue up a cloak + 15 smartbombs and you have a Rokh mine, if you decloak it he kills you, this way I can still PVP when I am mowing the lawn or taking a nap."

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I think many people would enjoy watching Eve play with itself.......

As to the OP (troll or not), I really like all these Bot ideas. CCP should implement them all. When using one of the new bot mechanics you get a unique flashy in local and a broadcast marker in space identifying you as botting. Would also like a Sec status reduction for ganking those using the bot mechanic.

This would give everyone something to enjoy.
