The weird thing about Eve is I can never tell the difference between poorly constructed RP or trolling. But I guess there's no reason you can't combine the two. Perhaps it's Poe's Law in action.

If you're tired of the new order the solution isn't a petition, thread or vitriol. The solution is to organize and do something about them. Or to not be AFK so you can vote the next time there is an election for "The Saviour of Highsec."

No, the solution is to move somewhere they're not, which is pretty much everywhere since there's not really that many of them, despite their tedious vocality in the C&P roleplaying forum, and then completely forget they exist. I was worried when I first started playing, but I've never seen one.

That is only a delaying tactic eventually they will be huge and cover all of highsec.

I thought you guys were too busy being stomped by TEST to have time to post in here.

The New Order use meta-hacks to undermine the authority of CONCORD to instathwack people being bads in high sec. High sec truly belongs to the afk miner they bring the most joy to all in this featureless crap game where there is nothing to do. All hail the high sec miner without which we would not have... ** shrugs **

I can't stop looking at this execrable poem. It's so bad.

I'm starting to think it might be an unintentional masterpiece.

Edit: it's the last line that does it. After all the 'I don't care's, the 'I just keep pulling the trigger' just cracks me up. I can't keep a straight face.

A mining corp.
I guess that'd mean he knows what he's talking about then, wouldn't it ? [quote]

Ummmmm..... NO it wouldnt.

Really? How do you figure - A person who was a miner in a mining corp would NOT have knowledge of mining and just how dreary it is?

Can I have some of whatever you've been smoking?

LMAO... I was in a hospital once. Does that mean I know how to be a doctor? I also was in the military for a while does that mean I know how to be a general? Being a miner or ceo or pvper doesn’t make you good or expert or even knowlegable about the subject.

New order, lol dont make me laugh three of them from New Order Logistics where sat off the station in Jouvoulen (A noob starter system) scaming in local stating that to play this game you gad to pay them 5 million in hisec fees and another 10 million if you wanted to mine. Then they were bumping noobs less than a day old off the undock. When I undocked in a Ferox, locked and took one of them into Hull in one shot they docked rather sharpishsly. And soon left system when CCP turned up and told them to get the hell out or risk being banned.

Funny thing is, none of this is probably true. Shooting someone in hisec would result in a ferox lossmail to Concord, which I don't see, and CCP has stated that bumping is a bannable offense. Most likely the story was probably that you got bumped, cried about it, yellowboxed some people and then ran away.

Really? Oh alright then, I must have been concorded, but I think I would have know about that don't you think? And considering that you CAN shoot pilots that have -5 security status or lower.
Of the three pilots in question, 2 had a sec status of -9.something and one had a sec status of -7.3 so low and be hold, no concord. Sucks to have your theory demolished in front of you doesn't it? Lol

Because crime in EvE has little consequences.

If criminals can "get away" with it (with the usual excuse that it's a "sandbox", meanwhile it's the mechanics itself that allows it) you will get the babies that play criminals.

I don't want babies as criminals. I want to see Al Capones and Godfathers, not some common hustler on the street. Someone who is arch evil and has the rep to prove it. Classic good vs evil gameplay.

New Order is but some wash ups that folks see in other games who turn evil because it's easier (because it is, just throw out morals/ethics and not having a conscience...bingo...instant criminal. Add easy ways to escape punishment, and we even have a broken bounty system that mocks all this).

Dear God almighty, will someone give us some RP-based emergent gameplay that's actually worth reading about? This is utterly pathetic. You lot are ganking miners. It's barely above Jita scammers. James is the 'saviour' of the toddler's sandpit, nothing else.

CCP must be laughing their asses off.

No offense but CCP laughs every time we pay em. I never understood why people would pay money to these guys... all it does is fund thier effort to harass others and yourself later down the road.

In my mind they are nothing more than an online cult like Jonestown. You new order guys stay away from that Kool-aide now you hear?

I really don't think anyone actually believes anymore that The New Order is doing this to help hi-sec, lol.
If you take a read through their forum, it's quite obvious they are simply a collection of trolls who get their kicks out of bothering people who don't want to be bothered.
It surprises me to still see posts conveying shock that they were bumped/ganked while not AFK and without any bots.
If everyone jumped banded together and agreed to ignore them / dock up every single time, they'd inevitably get bored and find something else to do with their time.

Crime in EVE has massive consequences. It's just that the people who are supposed to deliver those consequences choose not to and instead complain about this choice of theirs. It's the sandbox way: player decisions drive the events that unfold

Quote:
If criminals can "get away" with it (with the usual excuse that it's a "sandbox", meanwhile it's the mechanics itself that allows it)
It's not an excuse — it's the specific and desired result of the mechanics. It's the reason the mechanics are the way they are: so that players can get away with things. The reason they get away with it is because the victims choose to let them off the hook rather than use the many tools at their disposal to get even.
