Logging into other characters on the same account

Is there a way to log off one character to select another character on the account without quitting the game entirely and then relaunching it?

there used to be a way
yesterday I was trying to switch that way and I was surprised that the log off button is gone..

Short answer nope, long answer is that you used to be able to but CCP removed the function due to coding problems (as far as I know), although the launcher is probably the starting point of not having to quit the game to change character.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

It's weird how CCP does this (have to completely log out and reload everything to click another toon). Would be better if folks can just log out of one toon, then are met with their characters...not completely reload the entire client every time.

Leaving the launcher open at all times speeds up the process a wee bit.

Closest thing is to run the eve executable instead of the launcher, you'll have a logoff button which will put you back at the old login screen. (Unfortunately without pretty animations nowadays).

in the launcher settings check the box for leave launcher open, then you can close the client and hit the play button to load back to the character select.

I know some people that have more than one and even some with more than one account with more than one.

Just leave your launcher up after loading up the game. Exit and start it up again.

Sanity is fun leaving the body.
