Anyone else waiting for Destiny?

No.

If Sony wants an exclusive game release, they will pay for it's development. In turn, CCP gets the money to write an engine. And in gaming, especially, they always budget game development to fund OTHER projects (in this case PC). Nothing gets done unless it's funded first. So this is how CCP could get direct funding, but the conditions are it's a 1 year exclusive offering for PS3.

CCP will ride it out, and go from there.

But patience is a virtue, and it's clear now that a diet of 8hr weekend games, make very impatient gamers.

If it went PC, it would be plagued by aimbots and ESP and all sorts of other hax that plague all the other PC FPS games.

If you dont think they exist, you are dead wrong.

Console games are not cheat free, but it is a whole lot more complicated.

Imagine if one side was all using aimbots? That could effect the in game EVE stuff...

And yet there are absolutely tons of successful FPS games on pc which have this problem. It's all very well to be glad that console games lack this but who cares if nobody's playing the game?

******* hell buddy, you're playing Eve and you're bothered by stuff like that?

Eve has had more "hax" than you've had hot dinners and I dunno whether its escaped your attention but there's been tens of thousands of "bots" in Eve over the years. Possibly hundreds of thousands.

This is Eve. Everyone assumes everyone else is cheating. Sometimes they're right Twisted

My thought when I bought the Collector's Edition was, "will Dust even be around to collect these shinies?"

The playstation platform is the number one complaint from Eve players. They have to see that. I can only imagine some sort of contract could be holding them back from admitting this. I'm sure everything looked good on paper, especially when you see some fancy graphs showing console games growing more than pc games (a reality exacerbated by the gaming industry)

I call on CCP to remember how Eve Online got its start. Go to your loyal players for help. Perhaps something like a Kickstarter campaign to relaunch Dust into a PC format. I suspect more people would be happy about this than upset. I bet players would donate money and time to the project.

Get People Involved.

There are tons talented Eve players who could contribute to a crowd sourced talent pool. Surely individual pieces of the game could be outsourced to players to help create, with CCP quality checking everything. Plenty of people would give their time freely to support such a project. Perhaps give them some unique in-game items.

Dust can be saved if you embrace your Eve players.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

This, really.

Otherwise, waiting for Star Citizen.

The nerfs to supercaps will cause more super pilots to join the largest alliances who can properly "support" their deployment, further concentrating firepower/wealth in EVE. The end result will be fewer "fun" fights, and will hurt EVE in the long run.

Oh, hey, look, its this thread again where people forget the exact reasons why DUST will probably never come to the PC, the good reasons it won't, the similar reasons why PS2 on Playstation 4 and PC will be separated games, and the fact that EVE has been consistently dying as well since 2004.

would be awesome if dust had maps(possibility) to fight inside our stations/POS/pve spawn titans and such so eve players can influence battles shooting/reping/hacking said objects

Say evacuating civis or securing docking bays so eve player can bring stuff in side etc...

Point being i think eve link would be more potent feature if we are both in space..eve game mechanic don't allow much more than peeing from orbit.

Hopefully with the death of DUST, we may also be rid of the DUST 'community reps'?
