Cloaking Idea to deal with ALL the cloaking Ideas....

LEAVE THEM ALONE AND STOP BREAKING WHAT WORKS FINE. If you have a problem with Cloakies.. then Change YOUR tactics. Eve is NOT supposed to be easy to counter everything.. the older a character Gets... The more feisty they Become.. If your having a problem for Cloakies.. then Learn to Track there appearances and MWD towards them and deploy Drones....... CLOAK is FINE... If you want to Put a Cloak on "AFK" Recons.... then I declare a Time out for remaining Docked and Online in a station.. Being the Same as the "AFK" cloaky penalty.. This will work Great for alleviating JITA cramps.. and performance Overall.... First of Two Rants OVer.....

Actually Semi-Decent to me Ideas to bridge the whiners and the purists..

POS Module: ... Can Detected Cloakies WHILE ACTIVE. Make it like the high end Refinery... Have to Offline stuff to Activate the new Radar Module to active Scan. Moderately Decent Fuel Use to keep it running. Will Decloak Stealthed Vessels in its Vicinity.

New Module and Skills

Skill: Emissions Detection
Each Level Gives X% of skill towards Detecting Cloaked Vessels (In your immediate Vicinity/Grid)

Module: Active Radar/Emissions Detector
This Module Enables the ship to be Able to Detect Cloaked Vessels.. Sort of like Working Dscan or probing... Or... Maybe at Level 5 Depending on the pilot its going against.. Has the ability to Break that Cloakers .. cloak

counter skill: Emissions Reduction (Engineering)
Each Level has the ability to help Reduce your ships Signature while Cloaked to make it harder for your Enemies to Scan/Decloak you.


Second and last Rant
Cloak itself works Fine. IT does not need changing.. that does NOT mean mechanics can be added to make it more fun. Sort of Liking Chasing a Submarine quietly Running.

Discuss, Troll, Change, whatever Nobody is ever going to be directly Happy unless this Game Becomes World Of Warcraft.. all the new Casuals Joining the Game fighting for more changes and Nerfs to occur instead of Learning the mechanics.. All the Older Crew who took the Time to Learn the Game and micromanage there Skill trains... Just remember There is new Competition Coming to the Waters that Rivals Eve... Eve Must not be Nerfed that it's original supports, Mid supporters and even the Few new players who want the Actual Eve Experience.. Keep it Running. We all joined this game because we can do damn near Anything.. Stop Killing Mods.. Learn the Game.. Learn new Tactics.. Whether its PVP or Industry.. Or missioning, Everyone of us HAS A ROLE in the LONG RUN.

New content Coming soon :P Marauder Changes, Pirate ship changes, Command Ship changes, Indy hauler changes and whatever Secret changes they throw in that make us all Twitch a bit :P

but as the other Gent posted the Link of all them ideas.. Was not going thru them all, went thru a few.. Created my own Varient.. Posted.. and going back to just watching. If there Going to Screw me up Flying Cloaked, Want at least Some sort of IDea thrown in that Might make it.

I think being able to ping 50km radius every 5 minutes which makes a distortion-effect in the entire bubble if there's a moving cloaker there would be fun. Only gets a distortion if the cloaker is moving though, and it would not give ANY indication of where the cloaker is, just that he's moving. Negative pings would not remove ALL feelings of being in danger, positive pings would confirm that there could be an entire cloaked fleet approaching you ready to tear you apart. You would not be able to ping before 5 minutes after gating into a system (so GTFO of the gate area when you enter the system). After a ping cloakers would also know you know they're there, and they would know you pinged them when they stationary (so pinging might cause them to move closer, knowing they have 5 minutes of no pings, provided you are alone).
This I feel won't destroy cloakers in any way, but would provide none-cloakers with a thin thread to try to frantically pull in order to try to save their lives.
