FW Question - Standings

So, i want to join factional warfare but i'm a little worried about standings.

Since i don't have nor plan to get an alt account i'm afraid i don't want to get my faction standing as low as -5.

There's any way to join factional warfare, reap the rewards of running plexes and stuff and still maintain my standings at a bare minimium of -5?

I'm afraid it's difficult; running plexes will improve your standing with you faction war corp, which will drop your opposing-faction standing into the sewer. You can perhaps try to offset by stepping away occasionally and running missions for corps with stations in your faction's territory but which are friendly with the opposing faction (i.e. if you're in Caldari militia, run missions for Sisters of Eve), but that's a bit of a slog.

You can't have your cake and eat it too :)

But yeah, running missions like the above poster said is the only way you are going to accomplish this.

You have 3 character slots.

Use two of them for lowsec PVP toons (-10 security so no highsec) or mission running toons (if you grind missions long enough, you will get low standings with 1/2 of empire just like FW).

Use the third slot for a freighter/hauler alt. This character can also be a research/industry alt that doesn't run missions or PVP.

Alternatively, Red Frog/Black Frog are easy, cheap, and fast.

How fast do i lose standings with the rival factions, considering i'm actively playing for around 2h a day

I've been doing FW for 4 years and I have -4.73 Caldari standings, non-adjusted. I haven't done too many FW missions, so that probably helps keep it higher.

So how do you fund your ships?

Running plexes on the main or using alts to run missions/incursions...

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

There is only one high sec system that matters.
That system is Jita.
If CCP deleted every other system in High Sec apart from Jita - no one (that matters) would notice.

So pick Caldari or Amarr if you want to be smart, cool and for your main to be able to visit Jita.

If you make poor decisions, have an urge to hang out with unemployed welfare recipients and incorrectly pick to be a Minmaderp or Girllente you can just create a unskilled toon on a spare account slot.

Transfer it isk to buy and contract the ships/modules to Black Frog Logistics to be moved to low sec.

Either way it is no big deal to lose standing with the opposing factions.

I believe that's -6.
