Remote self-destruct

So, me and some friends (I use that term loosely, I'll admit) were talking in Scope chat, and I mentioned the idea of having self-destruct on an F-key, and the ragequits that would ensue.

Josh Surana picked up from there with remote self-destruct: being able to SD ships you owned but weren't in (his example being parking a fuckton of battleships outside Jita 4-4 and SD'ing them). Then came remote SD'ing other people's ships.

The idea is simple: a button that, when pressed, activates the SD timer on the selected target's ship. The timer so generated cannot be cancelled, and if it ends while docked, the station explodes.
I believe this mechanic will render all existing weapons and defenses obsolete other than ECM and running the **** away, thus simplifying combat to an easy-to-understand "click button, then activate ECM". Fast-align frigates would become the norm; battles would be seconds long, quick in-and-out glimpses of the enemy fleet as both sides attempt to fire and warp out before they can be targeted. In short, a massive improvement.

I await the CSM endorsement and relevant patch notes.

Blatant alt posting? In my EVE? It's more likely than you think.
