Kill log question

Let's say I have a ship with 1000 (shield/armor/structure) and I take 10000 damage (one shot), would it say in kill log I took 1000 damage or 10000?

I am fairly certain that it would say 1000 damage.

But do note that the total damage taken will be higher than the ship's HP if there is some repair during the fight. (And be it only the passive shield regeneration.)

I believe ( and I could be entirely wrong), is it goes off of effective hit points. So if your effective hit points were 1000, and an enemy does a super shot and one shots you, it should only show the amount of effective damage it took to take you down to 0 hp.

Lossmails will show the total number of raw damage that was dealt to the target's HP bars.
That is, if you have 2000 HP, and 50% resistances, it would take 4000 raw damage to kill you, because some of it is lost to the resist; however the mail should still show only 2000 damage taken, as this is the final amount of damage that was dealt to you after all mitigation.
Even if you'd been shot with 100,000 damage it would still show only 2000 as this is the amount that was depleted from your HP bars.

Ah okay that makes sense.

From picture, I have 432 shield + 220 armor + 230 structure, total of 882. Doesn't he have to do 882 raw damage to destroy me?

I see only 831 total damage taken, so I should have 51 raw structure left What?
