2.5 bill budget for a Solo PvP Battleship

As the title says I have a 2.5 bill budget for a Solo PvP Battleship and I was wondering which Battleship would you use? I currently have a HG Halo and Slave set along with a LG Crystal set so it would have to go along with the implants. I would love to hear what you guys would use. I was thinking of a Bhaalgorn or an armor nightmare. Possibly an ASB RNI but I am not sure yet.

*I do know the risks so please do not tell me to get a battle cruiser or that I will die in a fire. I am not new to PvP*

Are you running with links?

I have never seen solo Bhaal or armour NM before. If you want some solid choices then the Mach or Vindie will be the best choices.

I will be running with links and my current armor Nightmare is pushinh 180k EHP with 930 DPS and 2 tracking disruptors. Seems pretty good so far. When I get home I will post the fit

TFI, its not going to win any awards for DPS or tank but its sure hard to catch with links and snakes plus the damage projection at boosted point range is pretty good along with the 2 heavy neuts to get tackle off you (if they can even catch you) and to neut out heavily tanked ships or logi.

The Golden Era for solo battleship has ended with The Great Nano Nerf

I have tried to make it work many times, but resulted in failure. Nowadays, best solo weapons are those that use medium size modules.

Speed is everything in small scale combat.

May not sounds like a good plan, but what about the RNI?

Bert thanks for the awesome fit! I'm going to have to train up cruise missiles but that looks fun. I know I may seem to be trolling but I'm not. I like to RP a bit when a play and throwing on TD's makes me happy. Besides not being normal, there is nothing wrong with using an armor fit and TD's would be the best wear for a Nightmare.

ECM is useless.
TPing isn't very useful.
Sensor Damps won't be very handy since I'm a Battleship and can only lock out sniper ships.
TD's let me remove some targets from a fight and lower incoming dps.

What would you replace the 2 TD's with? A lot of the Forums are filled with EFT Whores and just because something isn't normal doesn't mean it can't work. Look at the Armor ECM Tengu for example.

Solo BS might be gone but you can do some nice stuff in a small gang of BS especially after the changes

Solo, with links, here we go....

I would use the normal Typhoon, its a great kiter and might be able to get you out of trouble.

Unless by "Solo"-PVP with links you mean doking games. Then I am afraid nobody we cant help you, because thats not pvp.

A solo bs is going to be very vulnerable to bomber swarms. The torps are going to ignore your TDs and (mostly) be unaffected by the neuts. I'd say you might be able to make an alpha mael to work in conjunction with a large bubble on a nul gate. Even then I would stay aligned to a safe and be paranoid.

Really though you will get a lot more milage out of T1 cruisers and or ABCs.
