did they remove the ice from some of the systems, the system I used to mine from does not have it any more I know that they said that ice will be found with the scanner but this system never has it and I have watched it ever since the update?

Every system that previously contained a static ice belt will contain the new ice anomalies, with the exception of some high security systems in Amarr, Khanid and Ammatar territory. The complete list of high security systems that will contain Clear Icicle anomalies is: Afivad, Agal, Avada, Bashakru, Chanoun, Dantan, Dihra, Erkinen, Esteban, Gamis, Gelhan, Gosalav, Jarzalad, Jerma, Kothe, Manatirid, Miah, Moutid, Ordion, Raravoss, Riavayed, Seil, Talidal, Warouh.

In conjunction with these other Ice changes, we are also doubling the cycle speed of all Ice Harvester modules to increase yield over time.
Hidden Asteroid Belt signatures have been changed to anomalies, and can be found in the scanner overlay.

The ice anomalies repsawn every 4 hours in the same system after they are depleted.

That list is for Amarr, Khanid and Ammatar territory only.

Ice belts in high sec usually last about an hour. They respawn 4 hours after depletion.

Plenty of ice for sale in stations... saves you that whole "CCP makes me wait for hours, and then I get blobbed by swarms of ice bots who take all the ice" stuff... Blink

1) Changes were made to the above systems. To the best of my knowledge other than those changes all systems that previously had ice fields will now have ice anomalies. If a system previously had two or more ice fields they will now have the same number of ice anomalies spawning.
2) Time for ice anomalies to be cleared varies greatly atm depending on region and racial type of ice. Given the prevalence of Caldari POS tower use to their increased CPU ability the ice in Caldari space will probably be cleared quicker. It is not unusual for ice anomalies to last over three hours atm dependant on racial type so best advice is to look around. Smile Or maybe switch tower race if you are fueling a POS. I won't say anymore as no one should **** in their own litter tray. *meow*

3) It is highly likely that the ice products trade is still running off ice mined pre-Odyssey is the great rush/panic to mine it before the change. Prices have fallen quite a bit recently but I personally feel once pre-Odyssey stockpiles have been used up prices for ice products will rise. By how much is open to question. It could be that CCP will have to amend ice amounts in anomalies or that people will have to switch POS tower racial types.

4) The ice anomalies DO respawn four hours after being completely cleared. Downtime does NOT reset the ice anomalies so if a ice anomaly was available to be mined pre-DT the amounts of ice within it will NOT be renewed after DT. I have checked this out personally and it is correct.
Some people are saying occasionally on the forum that the ice anomalies are not respawning after four hours. This is an incorrect assumption.

Unless the ice anomaly was cleared before downtime in which case it will respawn at downtime even if the 4 hour timer is not up yet . If the ice anomaly was not cleared before downtime it will still be there in the same state it was before downtime, even if there is only one block left, in which case you will have to wait four hours for the next spawn.

(moral of the story: make sure the anomaly is clear before downtime)

Where a high sec area of space is bordered entirely by unprotected space. Getting your stuff in and out without losses makes it undesirable for most industrialists.
