Hello all. I am a newly returning player. I used to do exploration in LS and NS in a Tengu but would like to switch things up a bit.
Can anyone recommend a good all around ship that can run a variety of DED rated plexes solo in 0.0? I do have a probe alt, and can also bring in a Cloaky hauler alt if supplies are an issue. I prefer Gurista space, but some variety would be a bonus.

It needs to have a really good tank, enough dps to clear the sites, and be able to fit a cloaking device without hampering its performance to badly. Cost isn't a big issue but, cheaper is always better, especially because I will always be red to everyone.

I am really open to training anything but right now am working towards a Sin, but I have to admit that I am fairly clueless when it comes to fitting anything but a small handful of Caldari ships, and am probably not great at that either. I would really appreciate some guidance to get me started again. Thanks so much for reading and any advice/fittings you can offer.

- I should also mention that the probe alt can run Warfare links in a t3 if that helps out a great deal.

From what I understand anything with a cloak isn't going to do as much DPS as a non-cloak. Most T3 subsystems are especially true with that, so if you want to do any DPS in a cloaky T3 you may as well fly any other ship for the price it would cost.

With that said I would imagine a PvE Sin would work similar to a level 4 sniping Domi setup with a MJD. I've heard good things about the Redeemer, it has a nice slot layout and its bonuses suggest it's a good brawler rather than sniper, and it can field 5 heavy drones. The Panther looks like it could either snipe or brawl with but the latter would need some shiny mods with 5 mid slots. The Widow is more PvP oriented but 8 mids would make a really nice tank.

I've never flown these ships so I have no idea what their fitting resources are like, but I would go with a Sin or Redeemer if you want to fly a black ops.

EDIT: If you aren't just restricted to black ops for a cloak, consider most faction battleships. I've seen plenty of cloaky Nightmares and maybe even a cloaky Mach could work if you don't mind the extra locking time.

With the advent of MJD's I don't understand the logic of this reasoning. Our BO pilot runs plexes in quiet staging systems after he bridges us.

Drop a can at beacon+MJD+short-range Dscan use= pretty safe PvE. He seems more likely to lose his sin to us asking him to drop after us than he is to a ganker.

I mean, we still made fun of him for doing it...until he got lucky and got an A-type repper and Armor hardener in one drop...

It isn't even a matter of having a MJD, I am not blue to anyone, so I cloak up if anyone is in the system with me. My biggest risk for a loss comes with traveling there and I use a scout always. Nowadays I mostly use WH's to access NS, so even travel has become much safer.

I have been doing sites in a pimped Tengu, but the dps isn't all that great and I am sick of that ship, so I want a change. If I use a Blop, I can also get around a little easier with the jump drive. Last time I played, I knew a couple of people who did these sites in a Sin with a similar situation of not being blue to anyone, and they seemed to do well with it. I have zero experience with Blops though, so I was hoping for some wisdom.

Thanks for the constructive help. If anyone has a proven fit for Gurista plexes, I would really appreciate it.
