Yea but no thanks,

I know u got the big battle going on in fountain.

But why in the heck do we have to suffer way over in wicked creek. 13 % time dilation is unplayable. Great just hit 10%.

anyways tell me his isnt how its going to be for every major battle that comes out.

I rather have a node death. At least then I know it's time to play something else.

Why should we spend our time reading your post when you can't spend your time writing 'you' instead of 'u'.

Move to another system temporarily. Really just do it. Some systems share the same hardware, so some will always share the load with heavily stressed systems and that load can't be predicted in advance or reacted to in a way, that no one else gets affected. It will happen, it will continue to happen and this time it was your system's turn to suffer. You don't have to continue to suffer with it. Just move your ass.

I remember the good, old days when we'd get 100 people on a node and the node would just poop itself and every system on it would crash and burn.

Good times.

It's always been this way for every major fleet battle because of how CCP's server code works, there are multiple systems sharing the same node (CPU), and systems on teh same node aren't necessarily in the same constellation.

You have a choice, Time Dilation, or node crash. CCP believes the former is the better solution.

I'm sure that we can all agree that it would be much better spending the evening in A&E being treated for burns to your hands from the flames coming out of your keyboard (while someone picks glass from your exploded monitor out of your eyes and torso), than it would be having the game slow down via time dilation for a while.

[insert random rubbish that irritates you personally] is further evidence that Eve is dying/thriving*

You just gotta deal with it until brain in a box is figured out.

Jita is the only system that has it's own node so you're gonna have to share with everyone else. If that means you get TiDi cause one of the other systems on the same node as you is having a big fight then so be it.

DEAL WITH IT.

From what I understand Brain in a Box might be able to let the server moves information between nodes much better or something.

You would even be complaining here if there was no tidi because the node you are on would have died.

Actually, we don't have a choice.

And CCP leans on tidi instead of improving their infrastructure. There is no other game I know of that regularly subjects their users to 1/10th game speed during the best parts of the game (big fleet battles).

Frankly, if I was CCP I would be ashamed of tidi and/or coding practices that lead to a game that can't scale.

You're right! CCP should take steps to make sure we have lag-free 2,000 player fights, like in such games as

Better infrastructure isn't even invented yet.

This is a lowest common denominator argument. Think it over again.
