Why are people still waering glasses thousands of years in future?

Its just ******* stupid to think people would still be wearing glasses this far in the future, not to mention they look god awful on all the characters I've seen them on.

I'm not talking about the gogles but the glass type of glasses, why the hell???

They make me look cool.

Universe spanning travel, weapons that can obliterate planets, kilometer long ships and more may come and go.

But sunglasses will never stop being cool.

Glasses are still needed in the future because of the addition of the Tachyon laser in the Amarr version of Lasik..and the "accidents" that followed.

Imp navy multifreq and eyes don't mix....

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I agree. Glasses are so 1096. Monocle is the way to go. All the cool kids have one.

I suspect they do a lot more that just accessorise the face:

-Video capability, 25000 recording hours as a standalone device. More if linked to the neural implants and utilising unused sections of the brain as storage.

-HUD system tied into SPS to avoid capsulers getting lost in their quarters.

-Remote link to Pod systems for fast startup

-UV10000+ protection

-the ability to perv at others without looking like a perv.

Capsuleers wear shades for the same reason that contemporary hipsters wear spectacle frames with no lenses: the items are fashion accessories with little practical purpose.

But why are we concerned about fashion when we can't meet in social spaces to show off our class and style?
