Downloading issues Patch fails and launcher.......Oh Boy

Hey all

I know we are having issues with the patch and the launcher so im trying a few different methods to do it.

the online installer from the website is taking me 40 mins to download!

the patch is looking at 3 hours to download!!

seams like something is being swamped or there is a routing issue some place!

i have above average download speeds here in the uk, the speed is not a issue.

i have tried to download it from the browser ( Chrome ) and a stand alone dl manager, same issues.

advise or do i really have to leave on the pc overnight!

Use a proxy like www.turbohide.com to download the patch file that's what I did yesterday (see here https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=254868&find=unread)

that website is bookmarked, proxy defo works. had to update the launcher first before it started installing the patch.
