Am I able to increase the number of drones in space to more than 5 ? I already have Drone V. All I recall is that before I quit, 2+ years ago, it seemed I could control more drones...

Note : my memory can fail me, it's been 2+ years and I wasn't a great EVE knowledgeable player before.

There's only few ships in EVE that can have more than 5 drones out at the same time:

Guardian-Vexor
all carriers
all supercarriers (and if I remember correctly these are limited to fighters and fighter bombers only)

Advanced Drone Interfacing might be it.

Allows the use of the Drone Control Unit module. One extra module can be fitted per skill level. Each fitted Drone Control Unit allows the operation of one extra drone.

Solecist Project...." They refuse to play by the rules and laws of the game and use it as excuse ..." " They don't care about how you play as long as they get to play how they want."

The limit used to be ten, but apparently that many drones in big engagements caused server-side issues way back when. The extra five were dropped, and instead Drone Interfacing was added which (when trained to level five) effectively makes each of your drones double in firepower and tank, turning your 5 drones into the equivalent of 10.

That was way more than two years ago. But yes, that was the case back in Cold War? Removed in Red Moon Rising. So 7.5 years ago.

You say that as if the drones don't still cause lag... Slowcat fleets definitely seem to get the tidi up faster then subcaps.
