Why do they even exist, worst damage, out DPS'd by the other 3 races, terrible damage profile EM/THERM. They have nothing, they have like 4 good ships, what is this i don't even, they outank some races (buffer) by a meager amount.

Amarr are also slow, average range, pretty much average everything, lasers can't track for **** either.

No really i want my amarr SP refunded.

CCP is clearly applying some sort of Affirmative Action in their formulas on racial balance.

No it's not, but when your doing em/therm you might aswell be shooting foam balls at your adversary, while it's not bad, it's outclassed by every other race.

Just needs an Amarr background.

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.

HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE HOLY AMARR EMPIRE?!

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Caps and supercaps, armor tanking, capacitor, energy neuts, and tracking.
Seriously T2 large pulse lasers with scorch are ridiculous.

No, the Nidhoggur gets remote shield/armor repair bonuses. Amarr capitals usually get bonuses to armor resists, so they tend to live longer and not get called primary before other races.

The best looking Fleet over all. (yes, there are a few ugly ones, but compared to other racial fleets, they win hands down) Pirate

Get blown up a lot and fail at everything, which is exactly the way CCP wants it.

This is nothing new: They did the same thing back in SWG, because Lucas was so offended that anyone would dare to play Imperial so they had to keep nerfing the Empire into oblivion. America's Army, when it first came out, let you play as the "insurgents" - but then people actually started doing that, and worse, winning; which didn't mesh with the game's whole reason for existing (ergo, as a propaganda/recruiting gimmick for the US military). Or you could just go look at Warcraft itself, where the pure blond aryan Alliance battles against the innumerable poorly disguised bad ethnic stereotypes of the Horde.

It's simple: The big boss says "The guy on that side reminds me of that guy who banged the girl I wanted, so make his side lose" and the devs must then make it happen. If you don't believe me, go browse the Live Events section for a while. Dev bias is an ancient tradition of the industry, so no reason to waste breath one's breath trying to make it change - because it won't. Ever.

Our armor tanking got nerfed ahrd when we lost the 8-low battleship in exhchange for an extra mid, because apparently fixing amarr's cap issues means nerfing our tank so we can fit another godawful cap-booster

Amarr T1 frigates and cruisers aren't all that great (save the Arbitrator, which isn't bad), but once you get into T2 ships, or T1 BCs and up, with T2 gear, well. Things change. A lot. Let me count the ways.

Crusader: An excellent solo PvP combat interceptor. Not quite a Taranis, and all combat inties have been overshadowed by faction frigates these days, but still a very, very viable option.

Maladiction: A very solid tackle interceptor. Great staying power.

Vengeance: One hell of a tough assault frigate. It doesn't do the most damage but it can take a beating. Really nice heavier tackle, too.

Sentinel: It's not popular because it takes some skill to fly, but in the right hands on the right targets, my god - it's nigh unstoppable.

Purifier: One of the better fleet stealth bombers due to slot layout and fitting.

Zealot: One of the best fleet HACs in game, especially if running a sniper HAC fleet.

Curse: These are number two on the list, right after Falcon, that make your enemy say, "Eh, I dunno, maybe engaging isn't such a good idea..."

Pilgrim: This ship suffers from a small target selection, but against the right targets and given some time it will always win. It could use some work but I feel that it's an overlooked ship.

As for T1, BCs and up are very solid. Harbinger is a great all-around BC, Prophecy has been reworked to be worth flying. The Amarr line of battleships is absolutely fantastic. The balance changes will make them even moreso.

Thing is, you -need- T2 gear to fly Amarr effectively. Gallente, Minmatar, Caldari, you can get away with meta-3, meta-4 stuff a lot of the time. Not so with Amarr ships. They really do need the T2 stuff to shine. When it comes to guns, pulse lasers with scorch loaded offer exceptional damage projection. Did the enemy get close? Instant crystal swap to faction MF crystals.

Instant ammo swapping doesn't sound like a big deal, but in a fight it's really helpful. I've been in those situations with projectiles or missiles... Those 10 seconds while swapping ammo feel like an eternity.

Oh, speaking of weapons systems... Amarr have good laser boats obviously, but also some good missile boats and some good drone ships as well. Their large amount of low slots, combined with the new-ish drone damage amplifiers, have made their drone boats even better. Prophecy, I'm looking at you. They're a great choice for someone looking to cross-train from another race.

You can whine about how Amarr is terrible but that's just not the case. It just takes patience to get to the good stuff. The recent balancing changes have made things even better.

I been training amarr since I started playing almost two years ago.

And yes all and all I do feel short changed compared to other races. We are stuck in em/therm damage pattern.

Our drone ships are not suited for pve very well.

Tank got nerfed, the one ting that really made amarr shine.

Super slow ships.

Restrictive BS fittings, you NEED cap rigs. And med slot cap mods.

Most pvp corps I've been really don't use amarr.

Honestly if I knew now when I first started I wouldn't have made amarr.
