to make it more of a risk and reward make it more of a guessing game its to easy to know what some one is hauling i want the gankers to pop ship and some times get nothing but some times get a big pay dayTwisted. i think its time we haulers get something that protect us from getting ganked as often as we do when we haul big amount of materials worth billions of isk .P

i have never been ganked because i do not fly my freighter that far but my friend has lost a few freighter to gank squads when he told me that i went and bought freight cans thinking that would keep them from knowing what i had in my ship but my friend said that they can see into the can so i tested it and he was rightSad.
how i thought the scanner worked was it would scan ur hold and tell them u have some ammo out side the cans and 2 freight can not that it would tell them every thing i have in the cans and hold X

courier contracts in containers dont work friend scanned my ship and could tell me what i have

the cans can be a T2 version of the original

You can already hide your cargo from scanners.

Answers above... but your logic is failing.

A freighter with something to hide is automatically worth ganking.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

OP asked for a way to hide his cargo... It's pretty obvious that a freighter with something to hide is automatically worth ganking.
It would be interesting if it becomes the norm. Then this will be no issue anymore.

I was replying to the OP, not your post. OP was thinking that hiding the value would help.

Gankers say this, but in practice I have found the inverse to be true. When an item is double wrapped it just shows up as a cargo container. AFAIK there is no way to tell if it is an empty container or full. My freighter has a freight container that stays in the cargo hold 24/7, 50% of the time it's empty, 40% of the time its low value items not double wrapped, and 10% of the time its a loot pinata that's double wrapped and hidden. I have flown by gank squads in Udema many times in my freighter with an empty freight container, not once have they ganked me (or attempted to). If people are going to start ganking anything with a cargo container in it's hold (especially now that they are player made and transported around more), well ganking is going to cease to be profitable as they are going to gank a lot of people for empty containers.

There are enough fools that fly around with out double wrapping that most intelligent gank squads are not going to spend 750mil-1bil ganking a mystery box when they just need to wait another 3-4 min for another loot pintia freighter that is a sure thing.

Does anybody know anybody firsthand that has lost their freighter to a gank even after double wrapping it?

When you use English like that, you can't really blame someone for thinking you're an ESL superstar.

It was because it damages my feelings reading a post like that:

I automatically disregard any post that contains 'ur' in place of 'your', and 'u' in place of 'you'.

Someone should have paid a little more attention in English class rather than constantly checking on your skill queue on your iphone/android.

Or any perfectionisht should realzi that plenty of people that can read white papers and other stuff don't give a flying truck about being careful or precise.

its not about english class.. it is about being rude... I will agree that my poor typing is a bit inconsiderate... but I'm bad at typing and I figure I shouldn't need to take more time typing than i would talking.

I can't type as quikcly as i talk so thats the burden others bear.

Fly with an escort fleet... Personally, I wouldn't undock a capital ship at all if I knew I didn't have an escort...

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.

text has become it's own language so maybe i do know two languages. grammar police go kitten ur self
